Well, our district teaches sex ed in 6th, 7th and 9th grades. I learned it in 6th and 9th. I got excused from it in the 7th because my dad. That's when I "officially" learned about it. I knew about it before the 6th grade though.

At my district, they would introduce lots of detailed things in like the 5th and 6th grade. they shouldnt teach you that until junior high when your more mature. but many kids arent mature until high school.

6th grade. Well technically, I learned about the female menstrual cycle. Then 8th grade we had DETAILED diagrams of male and female sex organs and stuff. Yea but it's like, I was still confused hahah. I used to be disgusted by the idea of sex, but then I learned that it was a natural thing.

Or rather, I was disgusted by the idea that my friends were talking about sex and stuff. I didn't like the idea of any of my friends having sex, back then.

It wasnt a health class. It was just i had already gained the knowledge of pretty much what there was needed to know about sex. But ive learned tons more since then.

i think it's different for every state and/or school district/region.
NYC region 3 Middle Schools learns it in 8th. and 7th grade science too, i think.

we actually started sex ed in .. umm grade 4?
we had this thing called "family planning" and it was just like, all about sex and periods and stuff like that, coz some people are early bloomers and they have to be ready and all that.. we stopped after grade 8 though, which really sucks coz that was pretty much the best class.
we had to watch a baby being born on a video in like grade 6.. really gruesome.. blood everywhere.. womens legs up in the air. not that theres anything wrong with childbirth and pregnancy..

My mom's always been blunt about where babies [particularly me] came from. She basically told me when I was younger that I was in her tummy for 9 months, and that I came out of her vagina.
