BAND OF BROTHERS!
BAND OF BROTHERS!!
BAND OF BROTHERS!!!

I would watch these with my brother all the time on the History Channel. They're sooo good!

They're more of a mini-series though.

Eh whatever.

Braveheart was really really good though too.

I liked Black Hawk Down.

But I've heard that Saving Private Ryan depicted war the best.

But I like Black Hawk Down. = ]

i loved saving private ryan, the action was so f**king awesome. especially that first 5 minutes. plus all the stuff throughout the movie like when the american sniper shot the german sniper through his scope.

band of brother's is hella good too, my dad bought the dvd set. if ur into war stuff or movies u should get it. i forget how many episodes it is, i think like 8-10 hour long episodes, but it's worth it.

"THE GREAT ESCAPE". That was such a great movie. Usually i'm not a fan of war movies at all, but this one i can watch over and over again. Steve McQueen is AMAZING. The whole cast was amazing. It's an old movie, i dunno if you guys have heard of it?

Both Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan are fairly realistic, as well as good stories, but I prefer Black Hawk Down.

i saw jarhead yesterday and erm ermm.gif nothing......happened, it was pointless.i can care less about how much they party and how much porn they watch. Then they try to attempt inmaking you "sad" when that dude dies after the war. but they make that scene so short and dont even explain it so your like "wtf". they made it seem like that war was just a joke.

well if your not into that kind of movie, thats understandable for you to say that

But a couple of marines joking around and doing stuff is what the movie is all about. it's suppose to be about a guy and his life and his POV on the war. if you actually payed attention to what the movie's outline, you would have understand that the movie does have a meaning. if you didn't get the meaning, it's as pointless as any other war movie.

idk but Jarhead is gonna be a classic.

i know perfectly well what the movie was about: A frustrated Marine sniper waits for Operation Desert Storm to get going. Then it's over before it even begins. it tells us almost nothing we haven’t heard before about the dejection and disillusionment of men in war, up to and including its summation that “Every war is different; every war is the same.” i mean, it has numerous arresting moments, but never achieves a confident, consistent or sufficiently audacious tone. basically the film never comes to life. It just languishes in the desert, waiting. its an unimportant movie non the less. dont get me wrong, i was very excited to see it too,(hell i made a topic about it) i didnt expect it to be some action filled war movie, considering "duh" its desert storm.

and its certainly not a classic. because it doesnt have alot of depth.

but i did love some of the cinematography

its just not a very interesting story, and im not the type of person thats like "yeah there should've been shooting!!!" no. the stoy line just wasnt that interesting nor moving. but if you liked it more power to ya.
