i have been best friends with this guy for about 3 years. we started dating about 2 years ago and have been on and off even since. hes the only guy i can ever see myself with, but i wonder if there may be someone ese for me. i get insanely jealous every time he is with another girl. while i was gone for 5 months to spain he had 2-3 relationships (we werent going out while i was gone) sometimes i fel like im going insane because of him. god...dammit.

Well, the best thing to do would be to tell him how you feel. Unfortunatly that takes a lot of courage. The worst thing about love is that people can choose who they love, and no one can affect their decision. Just try to remember that if he really does love you, he will figure it out.

look, you're 17 and right now, you shouldn't be tied down to one person.

your life has barely begun, go see what else is out there. you should start dating other people too. if your relationship is really strong and is meant to be, then no one should be able to come between you.

if you two do find someone else that would suit you better than each other, go ahead with that.

3 years isn't too big of a deal, it's not that long. if you keep pursuing some guy who doesn't want to be pursued and/or doesn't want what you want anymore, you're just going to be miserable 10 years from now. is it really worth it? is 3 years really worth it to try to stick with someone who upsets you so much?

you can't try to build up something that isn't there anymore.

^ Not necessarily.

I'd talk to him. Talk talk talk talk talk. I swear, people should do it more.

Agreed relationships are often ended when things are left unsaid, don't be afraid to speak up, communication is a key ingrediant to relationships, esepcially a successful one.

grrl, u need to try to get over him. i know it may be hard, but there IS another guy out there. every1 has their soul mate. i kno it will be hard to let go. hell, i'm still trying to get completely over my ex who broke up with me 3 months ago! i don't even want to THINK about him with another girl, but, hey, life goes on! wat i'm tellin' myself now is:
*the only way to be the happier person in the situation is to be the one who can carry on with life best. its obvious that he's over it (ie: he had other relationships since the 'break up') so u need to get over it! get ur self a guy who will be there for YOU instead of mooping about this loser.
