whats the difference between gimp and paint shop?

im just wondering whats the difference between gimp and paint shop?
and also what is the difference between paint shop and paint shop pro?

edit.

so which one is easier 2 use? ps or psp?

paint shop is paint shop pro. i think you mean whats the difference between paint shop pro and photoshop. well, a huge difference. theres a lot more stuff you can do on photoshop, and its easier. the gimp is a free program that is similar to photoshop, although it still cant do as much. gimp shop is very very similar to photoshop, and you can do almost the same things with it.

paint pro shop is sometimes easier to use, and has a bit more features than the average paintshop. gimp is a free program, similar to photoshop, but i recond paint pro shop is better.

^ more like versions 5 and up.
elements & gimp are sort of similar

if you're asking me which one i use, I use 7.0, the latest version i think is 8.0 or CS2

isnt the latest version Paint Shop Pro 10 or Paint Shop Pro X?

^ Above was saying the latest version of photoshop is cs2.
paint shop pro and photoshop are two diffrent programs.
and i think pspx and psp10 are the same thing.
