four years ago today, the US officially kicked of its war on terror, with the invasion of afghanistan.... since then governments have been toppled, international friendships altered, and thousands have died

how LONG AGO does it feel that the US first invaded afghanistan?

It seems like ages ago. September 11th is still fresh in my mind, and so is the Afghanistan invasion.

I feel like it's been going on forever. The war on terror has already dragged on two-thirds as long as World War II--and the US involvement in both wars has been equal, in terms of time. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the end to the "war on terror" is in sight.

I'm looking forward to an end, and seeing everyone come home. I'm really looking forward to seeing my brother again, too.

Come to think of it, I see something on it everyday in the news that it's basically a routine...
