I need to make this fast. Okay, currently learning quantum mechanics.
I get how you figure out the s, p, d, and f on the periodic table, what i don't get is the configuration and quantum numbers.

Uhhhhhhh here

Grr, I don't even know if I did the example right. (Cr= Chromlum). Okay, what I DON'T KNOW how to do is find l and ms...? Gahh, I'm so confused. stubborn.gif

Oof chem....ok, I don't exactly recall "quatum mechanics", but it looks a lot like Electron Confguration, which depends on the number of valence electrons an element has. There are 4 orbitals, S, P,D,and F. You go through each of the orbitals until you fill out all the valence electrons. Sorry, this probably will confuse you more, but I pretty much forgot all my chem..

Y*D(HSA*DIOSNION, FOOOOK, where are my chem notes from last year....

Oh yeah, it is electron configuration. I just put it under Quantum Mechanics, because that's the entire subject as a whole. Sorry for the confusion!

I..um, kind of get what you're saying...>_>

You posted this yesterday saying it was dude today so it's today already. Hehe. I'll go ahead and close this now. If you still need this open, just PM me. =]
