Simple because death can happen at any moment. For example, you could be reading this in a storm and your fiddiling with your speaker or computer wire and lightning hits it and then *ZAP* your gone. Death is unpredictable unless its a planned death. Marrige is predictable, marrige takes 2. Death takes 1. (Unless it's homocide.)

I have thought of death, and talked about it a little, but I don't like the thought that much.
So it's better to talk about something positive.

I think about death a lot. Real talk, i never know if im going to live another day. Gunshots, Crazy Drunken car drivers , Crazy people on the streets w/ knifes and stuff. Or just like .. out of the ordinary deaths.

I think about it a lot. More than marriage i would say so.

Um...well. Because no one plans death for you. It just happens. You don't ever need to worry about finding a perfect death planner or whatever.

Marriage is differnet. Although it's still a milestone of life, it's something that you CAN control. Since it's such an important event under your own control, then why not worry about it?

You can't really compare those two.

^ Good point =)
I agree, it wouldn't matter how I die, or when. I can't control it, it just comes when the time comes. Marriage is something we're curious about, who we choose to be with for the rest of our lives.

Death is nothing negative... I'm not trying to preach, but it doesn't mean that death is not significance if we don't talk about it in our daily lives. We just don't really know what's going to happen after death, so there isn't too big of a point to talk about it.

^ HAHA, you would say that.

Anyhow, I've given a lot of thought about death. About how it's going to happen and whether or not it's going to HURT. I don't want it to hurt. That's one of my biggest fears.

But marriage? wub.gif haha, I think about that a LOT.

I don't really think about death a whole lot--or not my death, at least. I'm not too concerned, mainly because once I am dead, I won't care that much, since I'm dead. Anyway, life is too short to worry about death.

Then again, I also don't think about how I'm getting married at all, either.

I think about not being married, though.

I used to think about death. I would ask myself questions like, " What would happen if I died"..."Would they miss me?"...stuff like that. Now I realize that life's too precious to think about how it's going to end for me. If I'm dead...then I'm dead. There's nothing I can do about it.

Yes, I do think about death.
Everyday I do.
I'm waiting until that time comes...
Because for me, life just makes things worst for me.
And death gives me ultimate freedom.
that's, what I'm looking for.
A limitless freedom.
I welcome death in open arms.

I think about it.

I guess it's just not something you want to talk about out loud. How weird would be if someone came up to you like "I want to die, I think everyone would be more happier if I died." Sure, I think that sometimes but I don't share it with anyone or else they'd think I need help. I guess you just talk about the positive things more than you do about negative things.

Life would be unbelievably miserable if we only thought about all the negative things in life.

Negative thoughts bring on negative attitude , and this generation needs more positive thinkers.

Do you think about death, punk_girl? Is it because all the cool gothic/emo kids think about it and you want to fit in?

AHH so true.

To answer your question...
Everyone thinks of death, but they'd rather not dwell on it because, what kind of life is that? I think about death pretty often because it's inevitable and will someday take me and I feel it's going to happen soon.

And .. punk_girl, why are you labeling yourself?

I think it has to do with the stage at which u are at in your life; your culture and experiences affect this as well. I used to think about how I would marry and stuff when I was a teenager. My mom recently discovered she has cancer and that brought a lot of questions like this to my mind. I do talk about death, in my country also (I'm Mexican) we have what is called the day of the dead (1/2 Nov)We make sugar/chocolate skulls with the name of the person you are giving it to, something that is pretty cool for me and pretty gross for some of my (international)friends! . We also make poems about the way people will die. It is supposed to be funny and they are called 'calaveritas' Little skulls. We don't take death that seriously! XD My dad made them b4- family business! Hope this helped!

Thinking about death does not necessarily provide that you like to fit labels for yourself. It's a process of intentional thinking that may or may not involve that, but, ya know, thinking about idealistic things helps once in a while.

Death is unpredictable and unexpected. Who wants to think about it when there is so much else to think about while you're still alive? There's so much to live for that we shouldn't worry about death so much. Death will, of course, come to us all, but for now live life how you want, because in the end isn't that what life is all about?

talkin about death isn't a bad thing unless you're talking about WANTING to die. but just talking like "i wonder how or when I'm gonna die", it's not bad. i think we're just at that point in life when we've become more aware of death because we've experienced so much already.

personally, it's not being dead itself that scares me, it's the process. like if i died donating one of my kidneys or something, oh well, shit happens. but i sure as hell don't wanna get eaten by a swarm of sharks. as a curious person though, sometimes i wonder how much time i have left on this planet. i guess it's a good thing i don't know because i wouldn't wanna live a whole damn life in fear and waiting for death to come at me.
