I don't really mind when they get me mixed up with other groups of asians. They're not intentionally doing it to annoy you, most people just can't tell the difference between different asians. Just like how I can't tell the difference between Cubans, Mexicans, and Puerto Ricans. I constantly mistake Mexicans for Cubans. Anyways, my point is that people just want to know what country you're from. And if they guess wrong, they're probably not doing it on purpose.

I am Chinese.. but the strange thing is that I once was called Korean (which I DON'T look Korean lol. It would be cool if i did ) by a group of Mexican girls. I don't have anything against Mexicans (but some can be pretty rude SOME...), but those girls randomly came up to me and said, "what are you, Korean? hahahha!" They laughed. As if it was a joke. When I was in high school, about 80% of the school's population was Asian, so rarely were there ever any incidents such as calling anyone Asian "Chinese."
