I have a mix of Chinese and Filipino accent and I'm proud of it! LOOOL!
well, not really... _dry.gif people sometimes look at me like "whaa....!!??" cuz i pronounce every single syllable in a word with a hard consonant. >_> (but i find it kind of weird how native english speakers don't say every syllable, causing them to not know how to spell certain words).

It's wierd, the people around me influence how I talk. So normally,I don't speak english with an accent, but with my chinese friends, my english slips into what my family calls "chinglish", with an HK accent, or at least adding things like "la" and "wor" and "ar ma" after I say things.

I live in Oklahoma and so I don't have the southern accent going. I still say "route" like "root" and I don't say "turr" for "tour" and I just speak normal. The Okies say I have a funny Pennsylvania accent and I talk too fast. And I say funny Pennsylvania things like "go get that awhile"... I've never said "outen the lights."

My problem is that I pick up the accents of people I talk to. I came to Oklahoma for camp when I still lived in PA, and talked with a lot of people from Texas who had SERIOUS texan accents, but at the same time there was a group from Saskatchewan, Canada, and so I also picked up the whole "eh?" thing. I came back to pennsylvania speaking Texan with canadian "eh"s, and people wondered where I really went huh.gif

I don't think I do, but I've been told I have a bit of a southern accent. I don't really hear it myself, though.

I'm told I have a very faint Jersey sometimes, even though I've lived in California my entire life.

Um. Not really.

Even when i try to speak irish.. i can't even say "Ta sa` fuer" its complicated... somtimes i even through in a song with the word "HAAAAM" and swing my arms as i add a tune it.. happy.gif hehe its just a joke that makes my daddy laugh..
also when i say "Lance Armstrong" my mom was like "Juliana your 'lance' sounds like a country singers voice" lol but what'd she talking bout she doesn't even know who lance armstrong is!!! NO I"M SORRY MOMMY! lol jk but yeah i have to admit... its fun having my accent (once in a while _dry.gif )

Living up North, I had an accent because I was from the higher south... and then I got an Northern accent...
Then I moved to the South.
I have a Northern Accent.
Eh?
