I was watching the food channel today and they were cooking peaches and had drizzled some sauce on it. For the sauce they asked that we should use some Brandy... Well thats the problem. Im under 18 and brandy isnt something I can legally buy... Any good substitutes to brandy that I can actually buy?

You can substitute raspberry extract or brandy extract for brandy, on a 1:1 trade.

cool, I didn't know you could use rasberry extract as a replacement.

I found this on the internet:
2T rum or brandy=1/2 to 1 tsp rum or brandy extract OR 2T water,
white grape juice or apple juice

I don't cook much with wine or anything. The only thing I have done with wine was a wine cake with powdered sugar frosting.

Well, ask your mom or dad or someone to buy it for you because once you actually COOK alchol, there's not alcohol in it.

aw, i smiled when i read this. A good kid in the world that doesn't just go out and ask his older friends to buy him alcohol, and the only reason he wants it, is to cook with :)

right? huh.gif lol i hope so.

anyway, as for the substitute some people gave you some good advice up there, but i would just ask my parents to help me with the recipe, i'm sure your mom knows what you can put in it :)
