I like to be able to tell my boyfriend almost anything. Therefore, I'd like him to be like a best friend to me. After all, I wouldn't wanna spend a lot of time with someone who I couldn't really talk to.

my boyfriend is my best friend. He was before we got togehter. It was nice because we already knew eachothers secrets, we already had trust built up, and we already were comfortable with eachother. those are things that are important. So yeah, I think your man should be your best friend. It makes it so much easier!! Just hopefully you are mature enough that if you break up, you stay friends. Me and my boyfriend have broken up twice and we stayed friends through it all. I suppose thats why we're still together now.

I think they CAN be but it's not a must.
As a boyfriend, he should have a strong emotional connection with me, but I don't really feel the need to be friends first. I used to say that, but then it just got to complicated. I started to value the friendship more than the romantic side of it all. I was afraid that if we took our relationship to a different level and broke up, there would be no chance of having that friendship ever again. |

Pssh yea.. My boyfriend is like.. my bestest best friend! Well okay, my bestest guy friend. I also have a best girl friend too haha. She's awesome!
As for my boyfriend.. he's my best friend and I tell him everything. He's the only person that understands me the most. Why not? People think that the best friend thing is where one hangs out with you all the time--that's not true. I'm not obligated to spend time with my boyfriend, but I love inviting him or him inviting me because we like to spend time together. Plus, my boyfriend is usually friends with my friends so it's not all weird. Sure we do hold hands and hug and kiss, but I mean we don't make it uncomfortable for others! Having a guy best friend who is also a boyfriend is like.. 2-for-one special. They'll protect you and comfort you like a best friend, and love you like a boyfriend. Those are really wonderful..  ALTHOUGH.. you have to be careful. Make sure you're headed for a good relationship. Otherwise, you might end up losing a best friend. Those are the ones to be cautious of. |

Yes a boyfriend needs to be your best friend as well. So they know you at this one level and a better one being in a relationship with them..
Relationships have problems all the time because they didn't know each other as friends and just jumped into a relationship Yes relationships are for people to get to know each other to see if their really capatable. But don't jump into a relationship without knowing each other at a good enough level to be in a relationships.. |

my boyfriend is my best friend. we were best friends before we started going out, but we became that way in the process of getting to know each other. it just came natuarlly. it'd be stupid if i didnt say he was my best friend.
and because of this, i know that if something were to happen between us, we'd always be best friends- because that's how we started out.

Hell yes, If me and my boy friend were to brake up and we were not friends I would like .. die.. and shoot my slef.. and bleed all over the place.. no lie.
I am glad he is my friend. He is one of my best friends out there. Soem one I can trust. :-) A sence of sucrity reallly. |

it would be cool to have ur bff as ur bf..but if u guys break up...it would be sorta awkward to talk to each other and stuff..unless u guys both have no more feelings for each other&had agreed to break up..but still it would be awkward
