The truth is...

New Orleans is a poor black city. Bar none, plain and simple. Don't be fooled by the French aristocrats in the more grandeur parts of town in classic victorian homes, New Orleans is poor and New Orleans is black.

Is this much understood? Ok, then, moving on.

Pardon me for playing the race card in the matter but I'm well within my right. And speaking of "right" the "right" winged conservative fcuks in this country can't seem to understand why THOSE PEOPLE in New Orleans didn't just get in their cars and leave when news of the hurricane spread across the city. The repulican "right" can't understand why THOSE PEOPLE in New Orleans don't have postgraduate degrees, upper middle class homes, two or more fairly new cars and a savings account large enough for them to stay in the Hilton for an undetermined amount of time.

On the other hand, look at Mississippi; they got the bulk of the damage and the million dollar homes on multi-acre homesites are no more. The unfortunate families that were unable to get away are doing their best for shelter but, wait, they have the red cross, don't they? And, oh yeah, they're gathering food and recreational appliances and tools for entertainment while THOSE PEOPLE in New Orelans are looting. I'm not sure if stocking up on pampers, tampons and toilet paper during the aftermath of a national disaster is considering looting, but, FOXNEWS said it is. So now, for the supposed 87% of Americans that are tuned into that God-awful newstation, they can all believe that, in a sense, THOSE PEOPLE in New Orleans deserve what they have right now.

Bush's fault? Yes. But there's another topic for that.

The fcuked up portrayal by our "liberal media" (our so called liberal media is deepthroating the republicans) is that THOSE PEOPLE in New Orleans aren't important and that the few maniacs driven to insanity are an adequate representation of the thousands still stranded in the city. Would New Orleans be treated like this if it were Milwaukee? I highly doubt that the media would rip on Plano, Texas the way they're ripping on New Orleans. And by ripping, turn on your television and pay attention to how each one of THOSE PEOPLE are interviewed. Pick out the most distraught and unintelligent of the bunch and shove a camera and microphone in their face so America can sadistically "take pity" on the "lowly" inhabitants of New Orleans.

I know goddamned well I'm not the only person who notices this. And if you don't see this, then open you're eyes.

one of my best friends, my parents sort of "adopted him" has his family in new orleans.

& i agree. would you people stop standing there interviewing people, put down your microphone, and try to help ?
what peopel involved in the distaster need is shelter food, money for damages, clothes, basically to live.

i was listening to the radio last night and the djay was speaking about how the money that should be going to help the cause is not. im such a ditz all i can remember is he made a very strong point & i cant remember it right now.

Don't you just love how the media makes it seem like New Orleans is still an ok place to live?

Again, strong topic homie. The media has a lot of fault. Why put icing one the fruit cake? Covering up things, trying to make it seem like the city is back to normal is not gonna help. That city needed the Govt.'s full support, if they had any. Not much was given. There was a statement that Laura Bush made...I can't really remembered what it was, but it pissed me the f**k off when I heard it. It was indeed a racial comment towards the residents of New Orleans.

I cannot speak on this matter at all. Especially since I have stopped watching the news all together. I cannot believe anything on television and I flat out refuse to have a bunch of lies and advertisement shoved down my throat. The bottom line is that everyone here in Texas has a very flawed view on New Orleans and what has happened. It's old news to most of us and they just want to wonder off to whatever Cold Case File is on today. The truth is most people don't give a shit about other people. Also, as a side note, I love the way you voice your opinion. If someone has a problem with it they can fuck off.
