FANIME = FAKE ANIME
there are some fanime out there that are supposedly asian but they are entirely american..... yes people. one of them that i have witnessed is HI HI PUFFY AMI YUMI show. the basis of this show is two japanese rock stars called AMI and YUMI. And there is just no justice. lol is there any FANIME you have witnessed? |

Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi is technically anime. It was concepted by them&features them...
Meh. If you want to get really technical.... I supposed American Dragon Jake Long is "fanime" as you call it. But seriously, it's just a cartoon. Adventures of Jackie Chan too, but they're not passing themselves off as anime. They're just cartoons. |

Well really, they're super happy crappy-singing pop stars, but these days, nobody really cares  I haven't encountered Fanime. well, im not really sure, but like Avatar: The Last Airbender?? or maybe Totally Spies?? i cant think of some at the moment, but there have been times where i was like "they are trying to be asian!!"

They're just cartoons. hah. now that you mention it, I loved the Adventures of Jackie Chan.  Well, I think Teen Titans can be considered as a "fanime". I've noticed a lot of the characters have expressions seen in most animes. But hey, I'm a comic book fan (I know, nerd. ;p) , and I actually think the cartoon isn't doing justice to the comic book.  because the comic book is WAY darker.go read it.

I don't think there is a problem with "fanime". If anime has inspired creators of those shows to model from them, then that's wonderful! Anime is spreading it's influence. Sure, in some cases it may not be as good as the genuine product , but I'm no one to put them down.
Either way, I was a huge fan of Teen Titans when it first came out. Now, TV just isn't as important to me. ^__^V |

I think its cool that some these shows use anime style. I couldnt imagine watching Teen titans or Avatar in some other style.

If you guys think of Totally spies and Avatar as anime then you are mistaken!! as always... Just because they were drawn anime style does not mean they are exactly "ANIME", just call them animation ^^

BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo (scary that I know the name?) is really anime. Like really, truly. Nothing THAT up on crack can be anything but Japanese (can you say... KATAMARI DAMACY?). -coughs- I read part of the manga (the part I didn't quite get, but I understood all the characters) in Japanese. Aw... You guys get so worked up about this. I find that funny, because I actually DO watch most of these shows. I like them. It's funny to see Americans try to be as Japanese as me. XD (As conceited as the remark sounded, it wasn't.) But really. I wanted to go to Fanime (the convention). T.T They had Lemon Drop Kick this year. Don't live close enough... I should con my cousin into going for me... |

dont call it fanime. fanime = fan made anime. like the little short 4 panel comics and stuff. fanime is also an anime convention. bad labeling of american anime. but yea. stuff like samurai jack... blows
