well, as you all know, the superdome was taken over as an evacuation place when hurricane katrina hit. i had been wondering what the new orleans saints would do since they can't play in new orleans.

http://www.canada.com/sports/football/stor...1f-56a20353028e

it says that they will be playing "home" against the NY Giants in the giants/jets stadium...but they don't know when the game will actually take place because of the other games in the East Rutherford Stadium. I also heard that it'll take years before the New Orleans Saints will actually play in their hometown, New Orleans again.

this may actually be a good thing for the Saints because now they're playing FOR their own people.

They are going to be a vagabond team. I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling. I believe that they have been training at San Jose State University's training fields recently. But they'll be on the road quite I bit, I imagine.

I've heard they might be playing at the same place that LSU plays at.

im pretty sure all the New Orleans teams are gonna play in houston...

GO HOUSTON! (<<<< houstonian)

hmm.. im pretty sure their football team is practicing in San Antonio tho BUT they will play home games at the Relient Stadium (Stadium in Houston where Texans play.... the officials said they are up to the challange because most of games are on same night...)

all the Universaties (sp?) and stuff are staying in UofH and Rice U in houston too.. if u curious about that..

there basketball team has set up office in the Toyota Center (in houston) so im guessing they will play games there too.

and yeah... what else is there?

hmm.. that annual football thing they have in New Orleans MIGHT be hosted in Houston too...

.... i love H-town!

Edit: i added more text to it.... but yeah.. alot of stress is gonna be on houston in the next year with 1000's of ppl here..

They might play at the LSU Tigers' stadium, or at the Alamodomein San Antonio (where they are currently practicing).

There is also talk the owner might move the team to San Antonio permanently.

....well there's a lot of controversy about the whole "New Orleans Saints homegame at New York Giants stadium". Personally, I think it's a bunch of BULL.

how are you gunna have a saints home game at a giants stadium? do you really think that any saints fans from down south are going to fly to new jersey (especially in this condition) to support their football team? i think not.

there were plenty of other options as to where this game would take place. for example, they could've moved the game to one of the college stadiums in lousiana, mississippi, or even texas. atleast SOME saints fans would show up to support their team. (the ones that own season tickets, mostly.)

so basically, the whole matter was about money. MONEY MONEY MONEY. yes, it was. they figured..."oh yeah, you know them new yorkers. they'll pay to go to the game and we'll make loads of money."
in all reality, there won't be a single new orleans fan on monday night. why? because they're all slapping themselves on their heads because they can't fly up to new jersey. it won't even be a new orleans home game...so i have no idea why they're even labeling it as one. go ahead...slab some new orleans saints labels on the stadium and paint a logo on the field...but that's as much support as they're gunna get.
