Gas station closings over labor day weekend

Is this happening in your area?

noooooooope. people were hoping that atlanta would run out of gas so the buses couldnt take us to school, but it obviously didn ot. that's absurd. i think you may want to try primary sources rather than a forum, anyway

why would gas stations close? thats just taking away from their funds by not providing the general public with gas. their making a butt load with the prices, so why close?

Our gas stations aren't closing thank god. But the board is going to put us on 4-day school weeks until the gas prices go down. Of course that means we make it up over the summer. dag nabbit.

If it's from some reliable news websites or newspapers, I would believe it, but currently I don't think so because it would cause alot of inconveniences for US citizens.

the coastline of new jersey and long island make a funnel, such that any hurricane that directly hits new york will bring a very large storm surge.

gas stations are closing around virginia but not because of labor day but because people are buying gas like crazy, these are the current prices for a local gas station in virginia:

Monday
$2.39
Tuesday
$2.45
Wednesday
$2.79
Thursday
$2.99!!!!

people are rushing out to buy gas before it hits the $3 mark, which it probably did already, trucks simply arnt coming in fast enough to refuel the gas stations

I doubt they're closing all gas stations.
They might as well stop the whole country from running.

thousands of gallons of gas is hidden by the government in case of an emergency.

i think that it can be true, in a few years gas will be pretty much gone so what wil gas stations be used for?

I dunno. It can be. But withthe damn prices of gas now, would they close and lose the money? They're treating gas like gold now... _dry.gif

with the competition of gas prices, plenty of gas stations barely make any profit. gas is 3 bucks and change for a gallon for them too when they buy it. pretty soon, gas will be gone and be worth more than gold.

I don't think that's possible. Now if that were true, though, it'd be CHAOS.
Anywho, something somewhat related to the gas topic:
www.gasbuddy.com. Check and compare your gas prices there. ;)

LOL. Yeah.

...

It's pretty insane. My father & I were traveling on the turnpike & other highway type roads to pick up my sister for the weekend from college, and we stopped to get gas. When we go there (it was a pay first, then pump) it was $3.19, and while my dad was pumping it the guy came out and changed it to $3.39. (for the regular type of gas) Damn, we were lucky we got there when we did. It jumped 20cents in just like, 2 seconds! ohmy.gif
