I honestly and truly believe that MySpace is taking over the world. mellow.gif Okay, or at least the cyber world. Either way...it's...insane...I don't think I know someone who doesn't have a MySpace. blink.gif Mmm thoughts on the matter?

I had never even heard of it, then one day a friend of mine showed me his and I was like cool I want one, then all of a sudden all my friends started adding me. I'm like wooooaaaahhhhh. So yeah. In a way, I'm glad it is so widespread. I've found a lot of people from my past through Myspace.

But Xanga is still better. I'm a writer, and without all the bells and whistles, people actually FOCUS ON THE WRITING! Yeah...

good point. Xanga is a great outlet, becuase people go on there just to read. The blog on myspace is sort of secondary. But I rarely write in my xanga...and I never write in myspace. I just talk to people :D

Wrong .. MySpace has been there since 2003 .. Xanga .. I dunno. Both are different. People having accounts on such just because they're cyber fads are lame.

Yeah, a lot of people at my school have joined myspace now... it's kind of annoying thought cause they're like really weird (the people at my school) and yeah. I've only added a few of them, though.

And it seems to me that it's sort of a big popularity contest. "OMG I HAVE 500 FRIENDS AND YOU ONLY HAVE 90!"

i have a myspace, but i don't use it. i prefer xanga for the sole reason that most people use myspace as some sort of...popularity contest. well, my friends do, at least. "HEY let's see who can get the most friends!!!"

The only big deal about myspace is the commenting... It's fun because sometimes my friends are online and logged in, but not aim. It's almost like leaving quick emails to one another. I just find it fun to comment. I could care less about the comment amount or the friend list amount. It's just fun to comment, it's like chatting. It's also fun to find people from waaaaayyy back when, to. :P

But I agree, a bunch of people DO have myspace. I wouldn't technically say that EVERYONE I know has a myspace--but the majority do. My sister doesn't have a myspace. That's because she spends most of her time playing GunBound, chatting, or surfing the web.

Amazing, my boyfriend had a myspace since a year ago, so he almost always appears on all of his buddy's myspace--you know, where only 8 of your buddies are shown. That dork---he used to make fun of me because I had a myspace! BOOERNS.

lol i find that funny because i'm filipino but i live in a white-dominant town.

i split my time between xanga and myspace...

as for myspace being a bitch to code, i definitely agree.
which is why i opt for div overlays. they seem harder, but they code more like regular websites. plus, you don't have to wade through all the lovely css classes that myspace offers.
i hate having to figure out what goes to what...

I know PLENTY of people who doesn't have a myspace.. I only got a myspace because my friend signed me up for it.

I know few people who don't have a myspace, but sooner or later they might get one. Who knows, really.

I have one. I've had mine for about..two years. Eeek, and sadly..I'm addicted. pinch.gif Bleh.

Hrm, when myspace dies, I wonder what will be the next "internet trend".

Myspace practically owns my soul. It's unhealthy. Last night when it was down for like 7 hours I went to a support forum and posted there actively until it finally came back. I ate so many Fig Newtons.

Lol at tech's orientation the first question asked was "Do you have a myspace?" At least ten people out of the 18 kids we were marching around the school with asked me that...it struck me then how bad myspace has gotten...saddest of all, no one asked me my name.
