I never wear make-up (except for black eye liner). My brother said that he when he saw a girl wearing make-up he thought he saw a polter-giest. I never wore make-up from then on. If I try to think like a guy, make-up just makes girls look ugly...in my opinion.

Personally, as a person who knows a hell of a lot about makeup, the reason people probably look ugly with it on, is because they don't know how to apply it to enhance their features without masking them. I know most of yall on here are on the young side, so most girls have no clue how to properly wear makeup. However, all these celebrities so many of you like, they are almost always wearing makeup when you see them. Even in the movies when they look natural. Just remember that. I think if you know what you are doing, it can make you look and feel great, but if you don't, you will just look like Michael Jackson. |

^ well number one your not ugly and theres no way your close to being ugly...and second i enjoy girls without make-up becuase it show natural beauty...but if you look good with it then wear it..but i dislike girls that wear alot of it..like if its hot her whole face starts to melt..lol..i dislike that...or when you hug her..when her face touches your shirt...you look at where her head rested at...and well it looks like your clothes got a make-over as well....

This is such an ignorant question. Firstly, 'hate' is such a strong word. Secondly, makeup is just something used to enhance your physical beauty. Makeup can not make an ugly, hideous chick, pretty. And even if it could, who cares? It shouldn't matter.
"Do you hate a girl wearing makeup?" should be "Do you like makeup on girls?" But that's just me. |

Natural beauty is how it should be but if they really need it because they woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something like that its fine. maybe for special occasions is also fine.

I dont like the over the top lipgloss...or the "peaches and creame (candlewax) flavored lipgloss...and Im not to much of a concealer (sp) guy either (thats the thing you put on your face right?), but I like lipstick (so long as its relatively close to what your natural lip color...unless you are blonde, inwhich case red looks nice)....and eye liner...or whatever the thing is....but not too much make up

I'm ok with girls wearing make up as long as they're ok with me wearing it. (I don't that often... and only eye make up when I do.) Usually nothing excessive, though.

I know I've posted this elsewhere, but that topic is probably going to get closed because it's practically this topic.
I despise the idea of makeup because I am looking for love, not just sex. Okay, so you have a person. This person wishes to attract other people of the opposite sex to them. Instead of showing their true selves, they choose to wear a mask. This produces better results on a very basic level for attracting mates, because the mask is more interesting than just a normal face. This basic level of attraction isn't based in truth about the mask wearer. This basic attraction cuts out the whole getting to know you part outright, and immediately. Instead of the opposite sex choosing this mask wearer for it's personality, it chooses it for sexual appeal only, and will just fill in the gaps after they have made their choice on this. Very basic psychology. If people were looking for love, rather than sex, they would choose to not wear a mask, as the mask only attracts those who want sex, and bases a relationship on a lie. |

That's a really interesting take on it. And I'm inclined to agree with you. Makeup, like clothing, really does say a lot about a person. Of course, the lack of makeup can really say a lot about a person, too (then again, so can a lack of clothing...). |

Solacked Acid, you have a way of making my points for me. YES. You find out everything about a person from talking to them, which completely rules out the need for a mask.

I think that make up inhances a girls natural beauty. Now I'm not saying that they should go all out and dip their face in a makeup bucket. My ex girlfriend was beautiful with and without makeup. A lot of times I couldn't tell. But when she had makeup on it made me want her more...Anyway, I don't like seeing girls who go through everyday without makeup and think they look good. Some do need a little makeup, no offense, and they still never wear any- not one day.

well you should only put a little makeup on only if u really REALLY need it. I mean sure makeup is good if you know exactly how to apply it so that you look better.. but otherwise.. you should only put small amounts and show off your natural physical features... sometimes the makeup seems to cover up the pretty parts of a girls face and she may not realize that... I just put on small amounts of foundation and occasionally lipgloss and i'm good to go... =)

If they know how to apply it correctly (and chose the right shades, foundation, yadda yadda) and don't cake it on and over do it, than no. I don't want to see women with thick foundation, bright red lips, and 2 tons of eyeliner. I wear make-up. I like it. It enhances my eyes and gives me confidence... but I also know when to put the stuff down.

(Most of the girls in my town are pretty and rich, but have little substance to their personality and morals. Boo them) Thats nice, as the girls on this forum have no intereaction with you unless its over the screen, where they send pictures to you. You get to actually know them, without seeing what they look like before hand. Thats interent. What about real life? Now, in real life, people's looks are the first thing a person see's when they meet someone new. If your not pretty, chances are the person first meeting you is not going to see you in a romantic way unless they get to know you later on and change opinions about you to fit their growing attraction. Looks are important. And, when I use to have acne, no guy ever wanted to go out with me because I wasnt "pretty". All the dudes liked me as a friend, since I have a great personalty, but I wasnt attractive enough. That all changed when I grew out of acne. I became pretty, and well, Im suddenly thrown into a world where dudes first notice my looks, and then my personalty. The internet is an escape place where ppl notice personalty first because you cant see the persons face unless you actually want to. |

If she wears it so it looks good (without it being overdone) I think its ok but if they put too much on and it looks ugly then they shouldnt wear makeup.
The only kid of makeup I wear is black eyeliner. I like smokey eyes :) |

i think natural beauty for the right place is great, and for the right person... however, not many girls can pull it off...

I have to question whether or not the guys who have responded actually know what they're talking about when it comes to makeup.

i don't mind.. but i like girls that look amazingly hawtt without make up. And if they do look good without make up, why wear it? =] I guess it's ok for dances and stuff though. But it doesn't matter haha.
Girls that wear way too much make-up is a turn off.. especially if it smells. |

It really doesn't matter to me as long as they don't overdo it. I hate seeing girls with all this makeup on like they are about to be the main event at the big apple circus.

Well, I personally LIKE putting makeup on. I'll go all exotic and wear like, green, hotpink, purple, blue eyeshadow. Personally, If I like it, then I don't care if other people do.

Makeup is fine till it gets to a certain point where they start looking like a clown. A little is great but over doing it can be an epic fail. And please girls go lightly on the eye liner.

Some girls look fresh if they do not wear make-up.
Some look fresh if they wear a little. and some girls need it. It just all depends |

I only have tolerance for lip gloss. If the girl thinks she needs make up to look pretty, then her self esteem doesn't meet my expectations and isn't worthy of my companionship.

Couldn't the same be said about your obsession with body building? No. Because I don't use bodybuilding for self esteem boost. I use it for an ego boost (I only talk the shit that I can back up about myself) and for the sake of my health. My self esteem is indestructible to you pathetic weak minded, emotional humans ![]() |
