I had my tongue pierced for my 14th birthday The piercer wasn't too keen on piercing me since I was young and tried to put me off but it didn't work. I sat on the bed and he got the needle out.. clamped my tongue, shoved the needle through my tongue. Me coming out "Is that it?". It didn't hurt at all when I got it pierced. The morning after though. Paaain! I woke up and I had this throbbing pain in my mouth For 5 days. I used mouthwash once a day for a week and thats all I've done with it. Never been affected.

I don't really want one cause having something in your mouth while you eating and having food get stuck in it is just gross. I think it would hurt cause they're making a hole in your mouth with a needle?    Don't you think that would hurt?

Ur silly. I never get food stuck in it. The hole is plugged up with a bar, and there no like...hook for food to get stuck in it. After the swelling went down, I forgot about my tounge ring. I never feel it. And really you guys, it does not get infected that easily. Oh and yes ear peircings do hurt more. Way more. I would rather have my tounge done again than get my ear doub peirced. I think that hurts a lot also cuz you sleep on ur ears. at least I do. And ears take 6 months to heal, tounges take 2 weeks. And the mouth is the freakin cleaest place in your body, so it helps protect itself from infection. The only risk with a tounge peircing is if the person who peirces it peirces it tooo far back. But now they peirce closer to the front of your tounge, so its not dangerous. So yeah...its really not that scary of a peircing. Mine only bled for a few seconds afterwards. My cousins belly button ring bled three times a day for a month...that I dont think I could ever do. People so mistaken about tounge rings. If you want it, do it. I'm deathly afraid of needles and I hate pain, and I freakin watched my friend go get his 2 minutes before I got mine, and I survived. So go ahead. Its great to play with when you are bored too. Oh, and the people who say girls with tounge rings are easy and all that shit, I'll have you know, I never used my tounge ring for sexual purposes. Ever. And I've been with my bf for 2 years. And I've had my tounge ring for over 2 years. Never have I used it in that manner. I just think its cute.

i don't have my tounge done, but i want it done really bad. i heard that if you get it peirced in the wrong part of your tounge, then you could die from it. im not sure whether or not to believe that because it does seem a bit extreme, but it's scary to think about! did it hurt?

anyway yeah it would hurt i want to get my lip peirced.. im not sure which way though

just make sure if you do its at a licensed place and they use fresh/steralized tools when they do.. i think tounge peircing has one of the highest chances of infection..

my friend was thinking about getting one, but then his aunt told him that if the people pierce your tongue incorrectly, you loose all taste in your mouth! I wouldnt want to get my tongue pierced because there are so many things yet to be tasted... lol

i got mine pierced. it don't hurt at all!! after he stuck the needle through i was like is that it? mine didn't even swell! it was a lil sore. but ya.. i can't imagine not having it.. if i take it out.. its like whoa weird. i have yet to kiss with it tho

It messes up your teeth since it hits the inside of your teeth. I hear insurance doesn't cover your teeth if you have a tongue piercing.

And you can't eat spicy foods.

And no shit, it hurts.

What do you mean you cant eat spicy foods? I eat spicy food all the time!! lol. People who havent got tongue rings have no idea lol. And my teeth are still covered by insurance even tho I have a tongue ring. my dentist knows and everything. Yea, I learned a lot of stuff about the tongue after I got mine done. Its really not that scary of a peircing anymore. Just get it done by someone who knows that they are doing, and you will be alright. And if not, you can sue then and make them lose their licence. Oh, and one more thing, belly button peircings are more dangerous to your health than tongue rings. Dont take my word for it tho. Go look it up. I found it ut when I was researching and trying to decide what piercing I wanted next. they all scared me so I didnt get one. ha.

I think it looks cool when you're young. Once you get older, it would look horrible. So I wouldn't plan on getting one.

I'v had my tongue done for about 2 years.The only bad thing about it is if you wear a metal ball and bar it chips you teeth a bit.

yay i got mine done today..it didnt hurt at all..but i know its gonna hurt like a BIOTCH 2maro..and the only thing my piercer told me was certain alcohols i can and cannot drink and how to prevent swelling blah blah blah..but yeah..i love it

and eating isnt that hard..its like...the same haha..and talking is the same too..soooo yeah..maybe its just me..or maybe cos i just got it done today and it will be harder to manage 2maro..but yeah anyway..
