First, the part I don't agree with you is criticizing the community all the time and looking like an elitist mod. But I guess that's just your thing.



Ironically, I understand what you're saying and agree with most everything else you said.

And, in the end, and... what I imagine many more people realized (more profoundly and before me), the truth is that we don't take the time to contribute because no one takes the time to listen, or take it seriously. It's like caring for a child only to have it willfully deny and abandon you. I don't want to put thought and passion into something that will, likely, never be seriously considered, let alone, intelligently engaged. I attempted, desperately, by creating small corners of createblog which may attract like minded persons (official film snobs, createspam, and music elitists), but... essentially, such sanctuary could only suffice and sustain my for so long (alliteration is neat).

I feel what you're saying here. I once took createBlog's growth a little more seriously than I do now, believe it or not. It's tiring though, and I can feel you getting tired of it all too. I gave it one last chance though, but meh. So in a sense, I've "given up" somewhat on the well-being of createBlog.

Well, now I just have fun with it and screw around, which isn't turning out so bad either, but even when you're part of the audience, you do find that createBlog has been getting dull as heck.

I'm all for having fun and screwing around, but there's no reason for that to have to involve have the active members going around acting like dicks. I'm not talking about anyone in particular, but there's an awful lot of backlash against absolutely nothing.

This member/mod vendetta things is getting pretty old, to be honest. I don't feel that my presence on cB is particularly different than it was before I was modded, except for that now I can get done what needs to be done myself instead of having to beg someone else to take care of it.

It would be unreasonable to demand that everyone be nice to each other (boring, too), but if your (again, general "you") idea of fun involves constant trolling, kindly stay on 4chan; I think a much greater amount of their members are amused by it than ours are.

I've personally always been against member bashing. Something I'd never fully engage in around here.

Member/mod relations were better at one point, though. It's just really, very bad now. Mods and staff being friends isn't impossible though. Look at Javonn for a prime example. And nobody can hate on Jane.

(KC always jokes about how he was on a forum and one guy mentioned 4chan and the whole forum was wiped out the next day. Though, this isn't the first time it's been mentioned on cB, it's a funny thought.)
