I don't see anything wrong with interracial relationships. To be honest, I don't think I've ever even really dated a guy within my race. The majority (like 95%) of the guys I've dated are black. Its true tho, people really do look down on you... young and old. I guess some people may think it looks strange... but why should I care? I try not to let it bother me and just do me, it's not my fault that they are ignorant and close-minded. Besides, interracial relationships are getting more and more common and people are just going to have to learn to accept it and realize that we're not all that different.

My parents are Asian but they said I could date any race I want to so long as that person has an education and treats me right. So race doesn't really matter EXCEPT in marriage.

I'll explain before someone bash me for being "racist".

If you marry someone who do not speak your language, do not understand your culture, it's going to be very hard on your parents. You just need to take into consideration that your parents love you, and they will love their grandkids just as much, therefore, they could be hurt by language/culture barrier.

Aside from that, there's nothing wrong with dating outside your race. In fact, most mixed babies are beautiful.

i see her point because differenct races are more succeptible to different kinds of diseases and what not.. just like caucasians are to alzeimer's and native americans to diabetes.
i think that interracial dating is cool.. hey, i'm chinese and i'm dating a latino.. it's been pretty nice actually..he teaches me new stuff everyday and i share with him my culture.. but then there comes that time when i wonder... how will my parents react to this..? cuz to tell you the truth, my entire family doesn't know about my relationship with him... they just know that he's "a friend."
it all comes down to "do you want to grow old with him/her?"
sometimes, i think it's societal pressure that makes it feel awkward to be dating a person with a different race. it's that notion where people go like, "oh, you're dating a wetback?!" or something of the sort... it may be the caste system in our society.. like how one race is inferior to the other...
sometimes, i wonder.. you know how they say that if the genes are too similar to each other, the next generation will turn out weird.. something like incest.. so if you're chinese and you marry another chinese, the pool of genes there is closer than if you marry an african-american....
