Why do you hate the store? Is it because you can't afford it? i can.

*American Eagle: i LUV this store: comfy clothes, GREAT prices, cute tops and tanks for summer. great fitting jeans. wide ranges of colours and sizes for all body types. great quality. great variety of goods sold. even cute shoes to boot!
I like AE, sometimes they some out with redicously weird shirts though. Like thoese new ones that say "FREE" in big words. That is just not good style.

*Abercrombie: ehh...not my store. WAY too expensive. not great size range, sales aren't really "sales". actually poor quality too. (i had a friend who's shirt she bought, the screen print was like to the side of the shirt when she bought it.)
I know which shirts your talking about, the screen print is supposed to be to the side... But this store rules the prepster world, i mean HELLO its Abercrombie and Fitch were talking about. its not suppsed to be priced right, its supposed to be the hippest brand everyone is wearing, and they are.

*Hollister: not too bad. good prices. good sales. good quality. lots of variety, but no so good size range. also the shirts can be too see-through. store itself can be misleading (see realted post topic: "funny thing with hollister")
Just so you know Hollister is owned by abercrombie, so they would have the same quality... But this is my favortie store, even though it doesnt rule the prepster world.

*Banana Republic: ehh can't say much with this store. i don't shop there. but it is expensive and has this older/yuppie/middle-aged feel.
Its not a prep store, it IS a 20-ish business store

*Aeropostale: i used to luv this store, but i just went down i think. syles got more rediculous, too me. sizes were down-sized. way too fitted, and price range middle to high. also i went into there when they had a "sale" and ehh...i could get 2 of the same product for the price of one at anouther store like it. no thanx here.
I dont know what you are talking about but i think this store is cheap

*Gap: i like this store, but only to a certain degree. their jeans are too middle-aged woman. and the prices can be rediculous. i mean common...$78 for a jean jacket?? common....
Same for Banana Republic, it is suppoesed to be for a older crowd

Theres my fahion critque!

American Eagle is where I have most of my clothes from, but Abercrombie is a close 2nd. But I prefer Abercrombie if I had to choose, hands down.

I shop at none of those stores, and yet, I'm somehow put into the 'preppy' category. I wear Express, J. Crew, FCUK, Armani Exchange, and the like. Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle and Aeropostale seem really high school to me. Those are the clothes that, in 5 years, we'll look back on and say something like, "I can't believe those beat up jeans were in." If I'm going to drop a bill on some denim, they better be so fresh and so clean. GAP, I love GAP but I ain't payin for it. It's to expensive for what it is. And how can I forget Banana Republic! If it's 'older, yuppie and middle-aged,' then I guess I'm a single batchelor in my early 30s living Manhatten because french cuffed shirts from BR with some of their straight legged khakis will leave a better first impression on anyone then a wrinkled shirt and raggedy jeans.

Sorry if I'm dissing your clothes, I don't mean to. I do own a few things from Abercrombie. I like their polos.
