what a coincidence. well not for me but for you and my friend. he was at a church retreat and almost died. actually i wouldnt put it that way he just shattered his ankle bones or something so he cant walk for 6-8 weeks which is a bummer cause he's in a band so how is he gona play shows! but thats not what we're supposed to talk about so...

yeah i've never really been close to dying.. probably when i was young and i fell on my head on this playground deck and i got this huge concussion and couldnt breathe... plus no one was there to help me i was all alone.

Didn't have a real near death experience, but if you count all the times i tripped over my backpack at night, then yes. Add that all up and it's near death.

Yep, in 11th grade (2yrs) ago, I was feeling dizzy taking the practice SATs and then I left school early to go home, after a couple hours at home was the doc, then I went unconsious and they called the ambulance (1st time in an ambulance hehe) and wind up in E.R... It was a great day that day though I wished I did die that day though _dry.gif.

when i was 3, i had lived in taiwan and i remember her telling me that i was kidnapped by some old lady that had never had any grand kids. which probably means that i would be in taiwan now..so i probably wouldnt have died.

I don't know if I'm allowed to say this.... I did read the rules and didn't see anything about it... so here goes.

I almost died a few times..... all at my own hands. I guess that's TMI, but what the heck. If you wanna know more, ask.

Yep, Saturday works as well.

I had a 105 fever and I couldn't feel steady breathing for a whole hour. I was about to just let go.

okay, so yeah I've had plenty of them, but the most recent one was today. I was at the grocery store with my mom in the parking lot. We had two carts cuz we bought a lot of stuff (we restock once a month), and I have the heavier one. Well, a car comes swirving into the area we are and the driver is zooming start at me. I life literally flashed before my eyes, even all the stuff i didn't remember. But, the guy slammed the breaks and swived just in time to aviod me and my mom. My mom GOES BESERK and starts ccussing the crap outta the driver after he stops and slaps him in the face.

That slap made my day laugh.gif . It was a good sound slap, too. Like only a mother can give happy.gif

This one time, I was at Odyssey of the Mind (OM) practice. For those of you who don't know, OM is a thing for nerds where you have to employ creative problem solving in a competitive setting. Anyway, my friend Noah was bored, so he decided to build a homemade crossbow. We decided upon a dowel rod tipped with a hand-sharpened knitting needle as the ammunition. It was a great crossbow. In independent ballistics tests, we got the dart to go through a canteloupe, and stick in a piece of cardboard on the other side.

Well, anyway, Noah decided to add a trigger assembly to his creation--previously, you had to hold back the "firing pin" with your thumb. I was across the room, minding my own business. Well, long story short, Noah's thumb slips before the trigger was done, and the crossbow fires. So this foot-long dart that can pierce a canteloupe comes flying at me, too fast to react. It missed my head by three inches. I know that because it stuck in the exposed wall stud behind me.

Good times. Makes for some laughs now. Not so funny immediately after it happened, though.

yeah one time when I was around 9 or 10. My dogs were trying to kill these geese in a swamp and they were killing the eggs so I ran over there to stop them (over the swamp theres these areas of grass that you can walk on) and all of the sudden I fell in a water hole that was like 3-4 feet over my head. It caught me by such suprise I didn't have a chance to grab something or swim. I did manage to get to the top to catch a breath and I saw my dad rowing the boat as fast as he could but I had water boots on and they filled up and drug me down and I looked up and (not trying to sound like a religious freak) saw a light and the next instant I was hanging onto a log. Thats when my dad came and helped me to the boat. Yeah, alittle strange.
