our marching band is pretty good. we dont go to nationals and all that though. thatd be cool though. im in the drumline section though.

i play the clarinet. i go HMS. you might've heard of it if you're in band. our teacher, mr garcia won the national award like the seddler(sp?) cup thingy and it was in the newspaper. had a pic of the whole band. it was pretty cool cause we had a spring/end of the year concert and this lady from uh indiana i think came to the concert and helped us with our music. shes like famous and really good but shes kinda blind. she conducts by memory, as in she knows the whole music w/o having to look and all that. and then there was the um assistant person or something to the mayor. ah can't remember but it was like a really cool concert.

Yea! I'm on the Cleveland High School drumline! I really love it. I play the snare drum. I'm never bored or tired of it.

Err, I didn't join band this year @ my new school, but I will this upcoming September. I'm going to join band @ John A. Carusi middle school of Cherry Hill, NJ...We've got a pretty good music program I think. Oh yeah, && I play percussion.

Eh..I went to the guard/percussion camp today (or yesterday since it's 1:50 AM). It was pretty fun seeing some section leaders, percussion/guard members. I can't wait until full band camp. Haha.

Military marching, at Kingwood High School and I'm in percussion. Drumline at that. Oh and I'm such a geek that on the side I play flute, saxaphone and cornet. Wow I really do sound like a loser.

same for our school. and we have band camp next week until school starts. we're doing moulin rouge this year, hence the avatar. :D but yea, i think its gonna be great cause we actually have a theme. most people we compete with are doing some abstract thingy like "traffic!" or whatever. it'll be cool though cause our band camp theme this year is star wars! :D

Okay. So this year I'm in Senior Band. I have to get to school an hour and fifteen minutes earlier now. It's not so fun. =(

Anyway. Any new pieces? We have Valdres by Johannes Hanssen and a medley of Benny Goodman pieces.

I'm not in my school band, but I am in one of the most elite city symphonies from around here. El Camino Youth Symphony, and I have been playing flute for....*counts*..6 or 7 years? It's been a while. Oh, I also own a piccolo, but I don't play that often.

Current ensemble piece: Saltarello (from the "Italian" Symphony) by Felix Mendelssohn.

If you have ever heard the piece, it is amazingly hard to play. The entire piece is almost in all triple tongue, and the tempo is presto.

I'm no longer in band, since I was not an amazing musician, and I wouldn't be able to keep up with other musicians at the collegiate level; but I did love band when I was still in high school, and I sometimes very much miss it, especially marching band.

I. Hate. Band.

I use to love it so much, but now.. BLECH. We have band finals and crap and I just hate it. I have no desire to play any longer.. Stupid broken flute.. grr. I hate Band.
