william, i've never heard of a rifle silencer...

haha, my extreme lack of knowledge on guns is obviously showing. i mentioned that because there was an article in the s.f. chronicle i read that said something about how he could have used one or something... i'll try to find it and edit this post.

It looks creepy. Especially since that face turned into a demon in the home movie they were showing during one of the previews.

I definetly don't want to watch it. I'm scared of horror movies. Haha. That's freaky, that's it's true. And it's in long island. Woww. I didn't know that. I live about 1 1/2 hours away from long island. That creeps me out. pinch.gif

The real story that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on happened in Idaho, not Texas. mellow.gif

...i thought the "story" that was based on was really just a guy who killed two other people with a chainsaw. not what i could call a massacre.

anyways, i think all this "true horror" stuff is such shit. i don't know much about guns, but couldn't he have used a silencer then disgarded it after he shot them all?
*

yeah I heard the same thing about texas chainsaw massacre.
I heard that they over did it and crap.
which is what people do...

Anyways, that story didnt scare me...
I was just like yawn.gif
afterwards.....hahaha

frustrated that a ghost story has overshadowed a tragedy – the brutal murders of six members of the DeFeo family, the true horror of Amityville.

mhmm...that last sentence got me. The thing is, it's really not a ghost story. It's a tragedy. This guy murdering his entire family. Hollywood def is going to glam it up in the new movie coming out. And the thing about the police finding them all dead lying on their stomachs or whatever...eh,couldn't the guy have just turned them all over like that. The thing is it has nothing to do with ghosts or anything, to me it is more of a sad story then scary. Especially when i started reading the part where he killed his brothers and sisters. That was horrible. The whole thing made me wonder what happened to this kid during his life to make him this angry.

oh and for the record. Ocean Avenue reminded me of yellowcard, lol

Actually, it was loosely based off of the Ed Geins story. Yeah, I know. I read it off numerous sites, including the movie's official site. Besides, I'm morbid enough to know a lot about famous murders and massacres and whatnot. whistling.gif As for the Amityville Horror (and I read that first post in its entirety), I wouldn't doubt that that happened. I mean, there are plenty of people that run "terrified" from paranormal activites all the time, even today. Am I the only one that knows this is a remake? blink.gif
