I will always have to side with Nintendo.

The GameCube has the best controller in terms of comfortableness. Button placement takes some getting used to, but thats only because everyone has adapted the SNES button placement style.

The GameCube has a great variety of games. Granted, youre not going to get as many M-rated games, but honestly, most of those suck anyway. It may not have GTA (which Im not a big fan of anyway) or Halo (also not a big fan of, but the second one did hold my attention for more than a couple weeks), but the games it does have are excellent and just overall fun. I think people need to think less on the fact that Nintendo has more "kiddy games" (which infact are just more along the lines of party games and games that are easy to pick up and play) and realize that Nintendo has MORE fun games than ANYONE ELSE. How many people here still play Super Smash Brothers? Mario games? Zelda? Star Fox? Metroid? How many still carry around an SP, Gameboy color, or a DS? GCN may not have the gory games, but its definitely got great ones.

Another note on variety, people like to say it doesnt have it, when infact it does. The problem people have with the GCN is that it doesnt have THEIR games. Halo, FF, etc etc etc. It may not have the specific games, but it still has amazing, very underrated games in the genres. Time Splitters (granted, a multiplatform game, but on the GCN nonetheless), Skies of Arcadia, etc etc etc.

NO ONE has better platformers. Hell, nintendo INVENTED the platformer. Mario will forever reign as the greatest platformer game ever. And lets not forget its incredible first party support. And great exclusives like Resident Evil 4. I mean seriously.

It has great graphics, sometimes on par with the Xbox. It just has this perfect balance of games and graphics that makes it an incredible system.

Its the most portable, has the best hardware, and has the best party games so you can utilize that portability.

All I really have to ask is, how many people can still play their SNES, but not their Playstation? I know I cant. Haha.

It doesn't matter about the M-Rated games. Only 18% of all videogames are rated M.

hmm, i've never really cared, and have never understood why people at my school actually ARGUE about things like this. but if i had to choose, i would probably say xbox.

PS2 is betta. Xbox is ok. Gamecube is gay. They still on them lil kids games....get real.

Besides, I wasnt trying to make Mrated games out to be the big ones, infact, further in my post I pretty much belittled them.

XBOX it has some awesome RPG games like Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind!
AND with the XBOX2 coming out next year, so shall Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

This is why I wont PC game. You need a ridiculous amount of new state of the art stuff which will cost you more than any Xbox of PS2 EVER will.

Id much rather pay 300$ ONCE for a system that will last me about five years before I need to get a new one, and pay 40-50 bucks per game everytime I want a new one, and have that be the FULL version.

Rather than what? Paying 2500 for a top of the line computer which actually cant run jack game wise. Having to pay 1000 to put top parts in, of which you cant even really tell which is the best because there are so many different brands with the same damned machines that it confuses the hell out of you, and then have to worry about virii, expansion packs, stuttering in Half Life 2, and paying an extra 15000 for a 90inch computer monitor.

I could pay a tenth of that for a 57 inch TV just as good, and pay one tenth for my system which I never have to upgrade. Sure I need a memory card (except on xbox) and I cant do half the stuff a computer does, but in terms of gaming, the computer is an incredibly inefficient way to spend your gaming budget.

At first I wanted X-Box but my parents got my brothers and I PS2... PS2 seems to have the better games... except Hailo is a pretty cool game!
