My ex-boyfriend and I broke up about half a year ago and I still can't let him go. Everywhere I go, SOMETHING reminds me of him. I can't help it. He was my first love. What should I do? I really want to let him go.

My suggestion is that you DO move on.. maybe start to like another guy and that will take your mind off of him.
You'll eventually get over it.
I know it's hard to get over your first relationship.. but you'll get over it.

I can't get over a guy i used to like. well we weren't in a relationship, but at that time we were really really good friends .. and whatever. and now even though i like a new guy im still not exactly over him.

well see everybodys "first" love is hard to let go because thats your FIRST LOVE :) just take it slow and try and let go because thats the best you can do, it sux yes we all know that and im sure we have been threw the samething i know its hard just try your best and let go and take it easy.

the time it takes for a person to get over another is different than the time it takes for another..the emotions that one feels are all different from one another...Time will tell when you get over him...

i know what you're going through- after my ex and i broke up, i was like that too. but, i found someone else, and my ex is pretty much forgotten. so, i suggest just wait it out, you'll get over him eventually.

do other things so you won't have to think of him...like start knitting or something...do something productive, play some sport, go shopping, those kinds of things

i don't think you should try to get over him by liking another guy...in my opinion that's the worse way to deal with it because what if that relationship fails? you'll do the same thing and bounce around from guy to guy on the rebound or like your first love again? i've been through this kind of thing...

you just gotta give it time, all your emotions aren't gonna disappear in one day so hang in there!

You gotta' move on. Focus your mind on other boys & your friends, that might take your mind off him for awhile & eventually you'll forget about him.

agree, if you do this. you will forget him for a while but you dont have to forget him in order to move on coz his been a part of you already. even how hard you try to forget him or drive him out of your system, the more you got hurt. why dont you just let him stay there. He was your first love right. lt was really hard to forget our first love. l never forget my first love after 6 years have pass, l stil love her. she will always be with me until l die.

slap urself and get a hold of urself :O . Theres a reason why there are such things as a "First Love" , Meaning that there could be a second,third,la la la and a last love lol.... There are billions of people around this world, just keep dating or wait until that special someone comes to u,cant just give up finding someone that makes u happy and feels great after one try. I think you should try to move on. Maybe go out to a party with some friends, or ask one of your friends to introduce you to some guys. I know how you feel....I broke up with one of my boy friends because we had a long distance thing going, and after I broke up with him, I still had feelings. I just started to talk to guys and stuff, and eventually got over him.

if u want to move on, then you move on. Just listen to music that DONT remind you of him and dance or somethin. act crazy. thats what I do and I moved on from one serious bf. haha sugar helps too

spend more time with your friends [distract u], or try and interest yourself in someone else ;-/

try to move on... focus yourself with thing that would keep you busy
