For anyone who fully reads this, thank you very much and everything is sososo appreciated, :)

So basically, I'm the odd ball out at my job. I've caused lots of drama and tension accidentally between me and others, my boss seems to think that I do not do my job, etc. Nobody likes me except for this one person, who we will call person X.

Person X and I have become close throughout my time on the job. I feel as if I can confide in anything with X, person X makes me feel protected and wanted throughout my job, and person X and I have very compatible personalities-- we make each other laugh all the time.

Problem is, rumor is spreading about me that I have a thing for person X. Person X and I have a very big age gap, and I am one year underage, and I do not want to screw up any opportunities for person X, and I do not want people talking about me.

What should I do? Should I tell person X that I heard talk, and I do not like that person? What if they haven't heard the talk, and this is all news to them? What if they feel awkward? Should I just act as if I heard nothing nothing? (I'm quitting in a week.)
