Don't like all the colors, the font sucks, and what's up with that weird blur on around the guys on the left?

Dont worry about him, his job is to only look for the bad stuff. It's nice I like it! I think what he means is that it look like there is a motion blue on a duplicate layer of the guys on the left but not on the right. And I think you should make the color squares blend. Just take only that layer and give it a big blur.

And tip for the future. Making excuses for why it isn't good, doesn't change anything, it just makes you look unprofessional and immature. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Its something you learn as a public speaker, ignore anything you can't control.

O and, I just looked now and I didnt really realize what you had done, not that much has been done. you should cut out the background and make it paper. I didnt realize that the background was part of the photograph. But it looks good. And also for the future try making things in higher demand. There are so many fa banners out there that no one cares for, so avoid making fan art, and make more "art".

Yeah I pretty much agree. Like the colors don't even blend well. You should have gotten some soft brushes and painted over the image and changed the blending modes. The font could have been better, imo. And the motion blur is really weird. Also the paint splatters are so random. There's just too much going on.

Anyways, it's time for my critique.

( Towards the first image: )
For being a first timer, I like how you have the creativity to put different colors in different places. That would look fantastic on certain images that can pull that style off, but the way you did it didn't seem to be "eye" appealing. To me, it looks like you just placed different blocks of colors all over the picture and try to make it look like some sort of gradient knockoff. The text also seems to be choppy a bit and the font for the text doesn't seem to be appealing either. White font color on a big boldy font with a black stroke = not the best font technique to use.

( Towards the second image: )
The background looks much better now. I love the negative space around the subject. However, I think a rainbow background around a group of guys seem some what fruity and casual? The font remains the same, so referring to the first image critique may help. Textures, can be a big help to this image.

Hm, more neutral bg and more rockbandish font! Agreed that rainbow bg looks a bit tacky...I like the first color scheme more.

Perhaps something like these-
http://www.dafont.com/birth-of-a-hero.font
http://www.dafont.com/-bichogothic.font
http://www.dafont.com/pulse-sans.font
http://www.dafont.com/city-burn-night-afte...paint-the-.font
http://www.dafont.com/ascent-2-stardom.font <- I like this one!

It doesn't necessarily look bad, but it's a bit cliche. Rainbow gradients and splatter brushes are so overused and basic. Download some textures, read a few tutorials on image editting...I think you've worked enough with this style of graphic to move on.
