i thought about a few different things for this, but mike suggested fragrances and i'm just going to run with that because i think it can be more versatile. so thanks mike for that. (design staff mike, not judge mike)


- you need to do packaging design for a perfume AND cologne. the idea being that you have a fragrance with a men and women's line, so it's not like two completely separate things.

- you need to show a bottle/container for the actual perfume/cologne as well as a the box the product would be sold in. how you go about making the bottle/box in photoshop, illustrator, ect is up to you. that's part of your problem. whether you wanna make it look 3d is up to you, ect. the requirements are pretty open as long as you have TWO designs, one for each gender that has the fragrance as well as the box it would go in. you don't have to show every angle/side of the packaging, you need at least a front view though. you should present both designs side by side.

- as far as a name, that's up to you. you guys know the kinda words chosen for fragrances typically.


advice:

you'd probably be better off to look around at some different packaging for this kinda thing before you start. think about designing for men versus designing for women. shape, color, font, ect can all factor into what gender you're marketing towards. remember though that in your finale image the two product should be side by side, so you want them to look similar while being different. think about elements that can tie them together.


i'm going to be out of town starting the 4th for like a week or something. i don't really know but the deadline is going to be after that. so we're gonna say the deadline is midnight monday july 13th. just kidding, now it's extended this could change, but in the event it does, it will only move back further.

I havent missed a round yet and im not starting now. Even if I do terrible I will submitting something every round.

2 cents says that we'll only have 3 submissions this round.
