I just sold a phone to a lady who was giving it to her daughter for her 6th birthday. She was so happy about getting it for her and said shes really been needing her own phone. ohmy.gif

You should only need a cell phone if you can be left at a store alone haha

I had a phone in 8th grade... I thought I was so cool lol... and in sixth grade I had one of those HUGE pagers LOL... but yea I dont think you could ever be too young to have a phone... its safe... my little sister is 9 and has a cell phone, you never know when you might have an emergency you know... its a crazy world.

I still have a pager lol. I won a radio contest one day, they were like what ever happened to pagers? If anyone still has a pager and comes up here with it you win tickets. It was exciting thumbsup.gif

Perhaps she got it for her little girl so that
she can be able to check on her every now and then to make sure
she is safe or for the little girl to call her mother if she needed her
like for example say... she missed her school bus. she will be able to call her mother or father
Did you ever think of that??
Thats the reason my mother got me a phone which was in 6 or 7th grade

yeah but at 6? What are you going to be doing at 6 years hold hitting the clubs or walking aimlessly throughout the mall?
When i was six i was probably over at my friends house with parental supervision and i could always use their phone if i needed to.

when your in middle school thats different, your more involved with things like sports.
So yeah they are both a bit different

ooh No i wasn't doing all of that
God knows my mother would have never let me hit the clubs at that age
but i was in middle school
i was involved in sports
sometimes i would miss by bus and i needed her in situations like this
&& she would sometimes just wanna check on me- thats what mothers do

I got a phone because of the massive amounts of hurricanes here. If another bad one like Katrina hits here and we're out of power for two months, I've got a cell phone.

better reason...but again not really.
A guard would probably take care of him/her and help them find their family.

I got my first phone when I was in 8th grade, but I haven't really needed it until just recently when I got my license. Now I'm required to take it with me so I can call during emergencies.

My parents like to buy expensive things that we don't need.
