Why exactly are you making it pixelated? Am I just not in the loop? It seems kind of odd.

Yeah the pixels aren't that noticeable. Try and make them more obvious.

Why would you want to make a picture pixelated?

I think it looks a little awkward. Maybe try to pixelate the whole background instead of just her arms.

hmm, i agree with everyone else. i'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do because the pixelated parts just make it look like taylor swift had obscene things on her arms or something.

I'm making all of the blurry spots pixelated.

Okay, I'll put an updated picture of all of everybody's suggestions up soon.

I was trying to make it look cooler like the pic below. I'm not entirely sure how to do the pixelating though. I think I did it right but I still think that it's not quite pixelated enough. & I agree. Now after hearing what you guys are saying about the picture, it does look weird having the pixels on the arms. I did make some on the guitar(where the big circle is) but I couldn't make them show up as well as the arms did.

I'm actually not completely against that style, I just don't really find it something to showcase...especially if you didn't really add anything else.

I'm going to add brushes but I've got no idea what kind of brushes I should add.

Hmmmm, see how in the first one the pixels ate really light and subtle? Try to Lower the opacity of the pixels, that will also help with the lines around the arms where you erased too much.

It looks alright but yeah, I agree with Abbey (IWontRapeYou). You should lower the opacity a bit more and instead of just pixelating the whole background, just pixelate a few spots like in the example you showed us. If you don't like some blurry spots, try to edit them by adjusting levels and such. Also, you could do a bit more, like add some coloring to it or something. But otherwise, good job. thumbsup.gif

I use the GIMP, so what I did was ..

Duplicate the layer

Filters > Blur > Pixelize > 50 height, 50 width > click OK > change opacity of that layer to 20%.

I also did some coloring edits, but it's not really necessary happy.gif

edit:

Oh, I also sharpened it, too, with unsharp mask before I duplicated it.

Filter > enhance > unsharp mask > Radius 2.1, amount 0.50

Oh, okay. I wasn't sure how high I should go with the height & width.
