I can't really tell when the image is (behind the text) and the white blends in too much because of the black and white of the image and of the placement.

I'm not being picky at all. It looks like shit.

Text over a cloud effect is not good design.

Background has really bad image quality. Also, it's kind of hard to read the bottom text. So tbh, No, I don't like it. mellow.gif Good try though.

Mm, I love the font, but the white font and background don't contrast well enough. It hurt my eyes to look at. Definitely work on something simpler and softer. A blue perhaps?

Harsh but the truth.
It is text on an image that a monkey could have done in ms paint.

And its bad text. And a bad background.

And its a little small. Where exactly do you use this? Just at random places saying its your "logo"?

^for his site. - *cough*

Seriously, I could've done this just by grabbing some sucky image and just slapping text on there. Exactly which image editing software do you use? I keep thinking Photofiltre

Why did you pay money to buy a website that has 2 layouts. A brush. And a tutorial...

I think you should change your name to 0stardesigns.

lol sorry, enough of that.

^seriously?

Everyone has already stated what's wrong with it. Also, just a tip I would try and stray away from having an icon base logo. Instead try a mixture of text and maybe a small image or design and keep the background of it transparent.

i dont think the logo is terrible...just that its off center atleast for me. Also the red gives it a cool added look, but its too harsh on a subtle background

5stardesigns. Legibility plays a role in designs.

It's not legible which means that the white text on the bottom cannot be seen because you placed the text on a light gray background. It needs some work.

Well, icon-ish logos are definitely not industry standard. The way to go with logos is vector based. What you should do is take the title of your website, and try to make a workmark (see here) or combination of a word mark with a symbol.

Some good examples of this can be seen here.

Also, a logo should give some kind of clue what it's for. Sometimes this can be as basic as using certain colors to convey certain feelings, but looking at your logo, it could be anything from a real creeper site (fun ride? pinch.gif) to a completely random blog. I have absolutely no idea what the site is forYou need to figure out how to get the message that you want across to those that view your website. Also, a good rule of thumb is legibility.

Beyond that, try to stay consistent. Once you have a logo, keep every aspect of your website consistent with your "branding" - colors, styles, themes, etc.

I just want to say this to some of the people who have left messages on here.

Alright, all 5 wanted to know what the opinion of the logo for their site. There was honestly none of the need for some of your responses. cB is suppose to be a helpful site, right now some of you are just being rude and obnoxious. Joseph that was uncalled for you to tell 5 why to waste money on a site. I'm sure plenty of people didn't have much when they first started off.
There's a difference between criticism and just being down right rude. I'm sure if you guys have posted some of your work here you wouldn't want to be told that "your shit sucks". Besides this is the first time the person showed their work.

So show some respect in the future. Don't be obnoxious and rude.
