Oh, it's pretty nice. I like the colors how they are now but maybe you should add like a few drips of different color paint coming out of the top of the 'bucket'. Good job. thumbsup.gif Yeah, I can read it as a "P, A" and a paint bucket. :)

I don't see the paint bucket, I see the handle though, and I see the P and the A. I guess I don't see the bucket, because there isn't a fourth side (the bottom). Other than that, it looks okay. I wouldn't keep it orange and black, too much contrast. What about a darkish gray, for the bucket, and a white background?

I don't know if this is too much, but what about it being a graphic of a larger paint bucket, and a smaller one? Like this: (but as a logo)

yea i duno about that. i don't really want it to look like a graphic. if it was something that was only going to remain digital then maybe. i'm going to be printing and everything for my presentation so i'd rather not have to mess with all the issues that come with printing shadowing, gradients, ect.

i think i prefer a PA making a bucket rather than just having a bucket, too. i don't feel it's related to company or much of a logo if it's just a bucket. i guess i should probably mention the symbol itself will be printed on business stationary too. so whatever i do is going to have to transfer over considerably well to a small business card size.

I couldn't see the bucket until you said it was a bucket. I like it, though; it's simple but gets the point across. I think having a solid color for the bucket (like, behind the letters) would help, or Mike's suggestion about paint dripping from the top or something.

Tbh, when I saw your graphic without first reading the explanation, I thought the handle was a pair of headphones ^__________^;; That may have just been me being weird though. I think it would be cool to make the letters a different color (like gray) and then have orange paint dripping from the top of the P, just an opinion.

nah makes sense. i thought the fact it says parker and allen paints though would clue people into a paint bucket. i'll probably mess with the coloring

It looks like a paint bucket to me. I like the idea; very creative. But yeah maybe some other colors would look better. I mean these are fine but a little more variety wouldn't hurt. And I agree with Mike on the drips of paint, Nice job, Jc. flowers.gif

I'm gonna put a third color in today, probably a dark gray between the letters, and see how that looks. I'll post another version later today. I'm still considerably satisfied with it. Most people ive asked see the paint bucket once seeing the buisiness name. I prefer the delay rather than straight up seeing it completely clear right off the bat. That's why I don't wanna just make a graphic of an image looking bucket. it seems more boring, that won't give anyone a reason to look at it more that 1 second if it's that spelled out. A third color might help define it a little more wihout going too far, i agree

My first impression of this was

I agree with Murat for the most part. I don't see the bucket at all. Just the handle. I tried staring at it for a while to attempt to see a bucket but couldn't. laugh.gif I think a fourth side would make it look more like a bucket....but yeah. Anyway, i like it, i think it needs a bit more dimension though.

Gray makes a weird contrast with Orange. I know I'm contradicting myself when I just published a gift card design with the same colors. I think it's more to do with the black and orange though. I do see more of a bucket though now, with it having a bottom.

Dark gray looks much better. thumbsup.gif just one thing, I looked at it upclose, the layers seem to overlap.. was that done on purpose? it makes the edges on the P and A letters look like they're a different color.

nah it's not on purpose. i just added stuff quick and sloppy. i'ma touch up edges and what not before i'm done once i'm through deciding on everything. the second gray looks way better than the first for sure i agree.

Looks much better now. I agree that you should add some like dripping paint at the top. And give a little black line along the top that will help people see that there is a lid.

The 3rd is actually my favorite. I disagree about adding paint and a lid. At first I did think the P was wearing headphones, but when I saw "Paint" I realized it was a paint bucket. Just to try out a different color scheme I would make the black background white, the gray a darker shade of white, and the P and A a light blue or just a brighter orange. Though, it isn't the most original color scheme I guess.

Man, at first, it looked like a paint bucket, but after staring at it for too long and reading the posts, I see a dog with headphones on. -.-
Joseph, I don't think that would help. This is a logo, after all.

Anyways, I like the last one. The grey in the second one is a little too light so it kinda throws me off a bit from the actual can. The first one is alright, but I think the third one defines the logo more and the shade of grey coordinates well with the colors.

I think it would more obviously be a paint bucket if the second letter wasn't open at the bottom, but that's probably unavoidable if it's one of the constraints of the project. I thought it was pretty obvious that it was a paint bucket even without reading anything though.

Hm. I don't like the third one as much as either the first or second. It's very close to the background colour and as a result, looks more like a mistake than anything.
