Damn how can you remember that far back? Yes, she's Japanese but I think if I showed her that tattoo (which is really puffy & swollen in the picture because it was taken right after it was done) she would know it was mine instantly, as soon as she translated it. Then she will come over to my house and beat the shit out of me for having a tattoo (even though I got it 6 months ago).

I just wanted to make sure it actually says what I wanted it to say.

Beats me. The guy thought シ was a smiley face ahahahahahahaha, so he probably remembered the katakana chart that we linked him to and he transliterated it from there.

You don't really "know" Japanese by being able to read the characters, especially since Katakana is mostly used for English words (through romanization).

lol Thomas thought the "shi" character was a smiley? hahah
