Well, I thought of designing a new layout for my site and wondered what you think of it. Also, some name suggestions can help. :) I like it but I feel dissapointed with the side bar.

For the sidebar I suggest that you separate Affiliates section from Latest Updates because they don't flow together (the colors)

I like Smooth Operator for some odd reason. lol

It is better then the red one, but i don't really have any critique because there isn't really much to the layout.

I like Silver Starlight. Is there anything else I should add?

Well, it's a bit minor, but I think the main content area should have rounded corners at the bottom since the latest updates and affiliates have them..

As to your question of what to add, I can't really think of anything to tell you.

^ Well, really the latest updates and affiliates don't have rounded bottoms at the bottom, it just seems that way because I used an outer glow.

Looks good :] You might want to space out the modules on the left so that the bottom of the last one is in line with the bottom of the main content module.

I think it would look really nice if you took the "free layouts, graphics blabhlabhalbh" text and put it to the right of "MIKEPLYTS.NET" instead of under it. Kind of hard to explain

^Yeah, but in order to do that I would have to start ALL OVER again which would be hassle. Anyways, when I was designing it I wanted it to put it to the right but I wanted the site name to be bigger and I didn't want the "sub-text" to be like a little paragraph. Besides, it looks kind of cool, and uhh.."different".

Be careful not to make your "Home Contact FAQ..." too big. It's competing for visual attention since it's the same size as your title text. You might want to decrease the size of them.

i think its to simple...dont get offended i hate wen i dont know what else to add to a layout....i think the mikeplayouts should be centered,although i kno why u made it like that i get you, i think you should add like a texture to the boxes it would bring them out more you get me?

Okay, so i'm not trying to be an ass. I promise. But for some reason, I just don't like it. I think that type of layout has been so..overdone. I also think the font is too big. And I kinda agree with a couple of the people before me; it's for your site, and I think that your own site layout should be the best you've got. A site layout should lure in your future prospects and have them begging for more. This is just..another layout, in my opinion.

I don't mean to be a jerk. It's just..what I think. =/

I agree with Kristina. You seem to be turning layouts out like crazy, and it does look like your normal layouts. Since it is your site layout, try experimenting with new things that you haven't tried before... try using more Style Sheet classes for your module headers instead of graphics.

Yeah, I guess you're right but I'll just stick with this for now. Maybe next time I'll do better. As for stylesheeet classes for the headers, do you mean like regular font and stuff or kind of like Atomic Affliction? Like how Gabi used a lone image for a module header?

I'm just suggesting that you avoid making your headers in Photoshop. Try defining the font, size, and color characteristics in CSS. It really stretches the comprehension level after you get it down.
