Yeah... Basically I have a lot of friends that I want to give gifts to (for christmas) but I dont know what to get them because I don't exactly have an unlimited supply of money. :P
What should I give my friends? Are there any cheap stores? I don't much care for bulk buying. But I'm thinking of getting my closest friends stuff that I know they'll like. and some less close friends a cute cup with candy in it? any other ideas? |

Candy or trailmix is a good idea, but do something creative with it to make it more personal. You could put it in a glass jar, little decorative baggies, or a cup like you said.
You could get a small keepsake box and fill it up with little gifts, like at Target they have the little dollar section. Decorate an inexpensive picture frame and put a picture of a memory with your friends in it. Or.... homemade cookies. |

There are a lot of homemade snacks that you can make that are SUPER easy but delicious like homemade chocolate covered pretzel rods. Or you could get small plastic treat bags and fill them with hot chocolate mix and a peppermint candy cane tied to the outside. Heres a homemade hot chocolate mix recipe or you could buy premade hot chocolate mix. Hope this helps!

Today I went Christmas shopping for my friends and to lighten everyone's spirit I'm planning to take pictures of their crush and place them in a frame and sticking it into whatever I got them.
It's all just for laughs and I know its weird but just an idea :) |

for mass holiday gifts, i would recommend cookie mix jars! pretty simple. put the cookie ingredients in a car, attach a recipe, decorate and voila! all you need are cookie ingredients, a jar, paper, decorating material (ex: ribbons, tissue paper, wrapping paper, markers... etc) and a creative mind! you can find recipes at allrecipes.com

i'm pulling my culinary skillz outta the closet and baking. lol. cheesecakes, white powdered lemon meringue cookies, angel cakes with glazed strawberries ... i might have a slight problem relinquishing them ...

no offense but i would not give them the whole "cookie mix in a jar" thingy. who seriously wants a jar full of sugar and flour and shit for christmas? i can't think of anything i'd want less than a jar of flour, except maybe like...a jar of lint or something like that. i could go in my kitchen if i wanted sugar and oats and flour. here's some random shit i found in my cabinet and poured in a jar for you!
but if you're friends are into that sorta thing then go for it. |

I give most of my friends gag gifts.
we all know that all of us are poor and that we really don't have the money to spend for all of our friends. My friend gave me some hannah montana press on nails one time haha. And i gave her a hannah montana singing pen and a candy grill. mm yeah. giftcards to starbucks or chipotle? |

Massive Secret Santa. Exchange gifts at party get-together. You only have to think of one nice present for one person, and everyone gets a present. Win-win.
I'd rather get one REALLY good present rather than 20 shitty ones. Unless you get someone shitty, but oh well, there's always the following year... |

Dollar store man, dollar store.
Once I bought votive candles and glass holders and painted the glass with flowers and shit to give to my girl friends. Those were cute and went over pretty well. This Christmas, I've been making jewelry. |
