lul I waxed my legs about two weeks ago. I hadn't removed hair from my legs since 7th grade! I've only shaved my legs twice in my life. My friend said I had wildebeast legs. But the hair is barely even growing back now! I hope it never grows back!

I think tweezing/plucking underarm hair is more efficient. I'm always afraid that if I ever used a razor on my underarms, I might cut myself. So I've never had to shave since I tweeze it. Plus, it kinda feels good too. lol stress reliever, maybe? OMG, you pluck your underarm hair?! How long does that take? I guess since you've been tweezing it, it doesn't take that long.Speaking of hair removal, have you girls ever had that threading stuff done? I want to try it, but I want to know if it works first. |

I hateeeeee how I have to keep my legs clean completely because my boyfriend has no leg hair. It's so gross thinking about how, I'm the more hairy one. Sadface.
plucking pit hairs sounds like it would hurt ): Made me cringe when you guys said that. |

Naw, it doesn't even hurt for me, unless I'm trying to get out the ingrown hair, haha. I hate those. :[ You know what's weird though? Waxing my leg hair doesn't even hurt, while tweezing it does. And that was my first time waxing my leg hair.
Tweezing doesn't take too long if you constantly maintain it. I have to pluck every few days (like 3-5). I only pluck whatever I can see, since it's hard to get every single hair. It works out though. I don't ever want to end up shaving since it seems the hair grows out faster and thicker. It happened to my sister, even though people say it's a myth! |

shaving itches, though ![]() i've heard that a lot... but i've never had problems with itching? i'm weird :( Speaking of hair removal, have you girls ever had that threading stuff done? I want to try it, but I want to know if it works first. I've only done threading for eyebrows and yes it works! I've heard that it hurts more than waxing though. As far as waxing my legs/armpit, threading does hurt more. As far as waxing pubes, threading does NOT hurt more. |

^ Oh gosh, it hurts more than waxing?
![]() I don't ever want to end up shaving since it seems the hair grows out faster and thicker. It happened to my sister, even though people say it's a myth! It is a myth. What shaving does is it changed the angle of the hair so that it appears thicker. And your hair doesn't change its rate of growth, it just seems that way.

Yeah it's a myth. It looks "thicker" because the hair is newly cut, so the ends of the hair are now thicker than they were before (with old hair, the tips of the hair tend to wear out and get thinner towards the end). And it seems like it grows faster because, relative to the short length of hair, the rate at which it grows seems faster. But compared to a long piece of hair you think it's going slower. If that made sense.
Tweezing is therapeutic. |

^in '04 i took my hubby to a salon to have his eyebrows waxed. the whole scene was from 40 year old virgin. he cussed each time they ripped some of the wax off. all of the korean women and the owner were laughing at him. and when they rip real close to his eye, you could see a tear and his eye twitching. i felt bad but hell, his sh*t was bushy! and he's never let me touch his eyebrows since. i can't even tweeze them.

Tweezing my armpits would hurt so bad. Maybe it's 'cause I'm a white girl
![]() Luckily, though, my leg hair doesn't grow back dark or thick. I have to shave my armpits, like, every three days. My legs are good for a really long time if I use a hair removal product. TMI, I know. |

^ Oh gosh, it hurts more than waxing? ![]() I've only waxed my eyebrows... haven't really tried elsewhere. You could try it yourself. My friend has a threading thing that she does herself. It shouldn't cost that much cause all you need is like... a string, like a clothing string. Tweezing my armpits would hurt so bad. Maybe it's 'cause I'm a white girl ![]() Luckily, though, my leg hair doesn't grow back dark or thick. I have to shave my armpits, like, every three days. My legs are good for a really long time if I use a hair removal product. Nah, tweezing armpits just takes a long time. Try waxing your armpit. Works really well! I'm just like you; I have to shave my pits every 2 or 3 days. |

^ DIY!! There's kits for 10 bucks at Jewel. I'm not even kidding! Me and my friend did it for the kicks and it was the funniest thing ever! Seriously, I'm a sucker for pain. Waxing (legs, armpits) wasn't that bad. But DON'T think that your pubes will feel the same... cause they don't... it hurts like 20x more.

I've waxed my legs before, it's not so bad, but it doesn't really get everything. My friend tried to teach me a "painless" bikini wax technique, but that shit was NOT painless. I teared up :(

I would rather wax than shave, but my hair can never grip the glue stuff even when it's longer, so it never really works too well

My friend tried to teach me a "painless" bikini wax technique, but that shit was NOT painless. lmfao! lies. your friend lies. no such thing exists. my hair can never grip the glue stuff even when it's longer. Does anyone know a really good brand? i use Sally Hansen. haven't tried other products so i couldn't tell you if it's the best or not... but it worked well for me! hmm, after putting the gel on your skin, did you pat it down a little? then you pull really quickly in the OPPOSITE direction of the hair growth. that's what i did and it worked! |

Whoa, that's so weird. You're lucky that it grows so slowly. It really is just a myth. Okay well based on what Gigi, Carrie, and you said, I don't even want to ever shave because I don't want it to appear more blunt when it starts growing out, even if it becomes thinner after it grows out a little more. It looks so bad on my sister's legs. Plus her legs are so dry so it looks pretty bad, haha. Good thing she wears pants all the time, but she still shaves. I still prefer waxing my legs since I don't even feel any pain! It just feels like a slight tug at my skin, but not a painful one. ![]() Dude, tweezing is really easy and it doesn't even take long, depending on how much hair you have. I wouldn't say I have too much, but the hair is definitely there. I prefer it to shaving since it seems kind of difficult to shave. I mean, I think the pain from tweezing your armpits is relative to the pain from tweezing your eyebrows. However, I tweeze my pits more often than my brows, so it doesn't even really hurt at all. lol @ it being therapeutic. It kind of is. ;x |
