They're from my country. _unsure.gif

But really, I don't have anything against them. Their songs can be super lame, but I quite like that "Hero" song Chad Kroeger did with Josey Scott for the Spider-Man soundtrack. Then again, it's not a Nickelback song...

DAMMIT, you beat me to it. I was going to post that.

Some of their new stuff is okay, but his voice just...ugh. I don't like that type of singing. It's just..bizarre.

Nickelback blames Guitar Hero for suck rock bands. Says Chad Kroeger:
QUOTE
So kids: Start rock bands. Set down the Guitar Hero, learn how to play an actual guitar and start a band, because it's hard to find more bands to put a solid rock-and-roll package together, to get out there. It's getting harder and harder, but I think we've done it.

uh wut

There's a youtube video that plays two or three Nickelback songs at the same time, and they really are like the exact same thing.

As a member of this thing we like to call the music industry, I have to make a general statement about this. I'm a songwriter and an engineer, and in making my own music, mostly Rock/Pop, and I know not everyone is going to like it. That is 100% okay with me; people have different tastes. But the respect as an artist and a musician is the one thing I ask for from all people. So why "bash" on an artist or band for doing what they do? And doing what they do as well if not better than most (according to record sales). I'm not here to be a jerk. Although, I feel the need to defend fellow musicians, majors or indies, whether I am a fan of them or not.

lulz

I've found that far too many Nickelback fans do not even know how to spell their name. Hilariously fitting.

UGH. They keep playing two of their songs on the radio. I don't know how they've been able to sell so many CDs.

hammer.gif I have this hatred for that band. And his hair.

I'm just curious to know what all of the Nickelback "haters" find great music to be. Not that Nickelback is great, but I'm just dying to know.

OMG HAHAHA wow, I never noticed that...

I think the only difference is that in one song, Chad Kroeger is pretty much shouting every word while in the other he's singing 'softly'.
