here's a paragraph from Time Magazine:
QUOTE
[Former Wasilla mayor] Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." The librarian, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire her for not giving "full support" to the mayor.

Here is the list of books Palin tried to have banned (as per the librarian; officially unconfirmed). As many of you will notice it is a hit parade for book burners.

I'd really like to see a confirmed list. I could not be more horrified that she tried to ban books at all, but this list looks a bit too contrived.

oh yes. and that's also why even the New York Times has an article about Sarah Palin's desire to ban books.

Just because a site is called fact check doesn't mean it doesn't still contain half truths. Not to mention that hypothetically discussing banning books and then having the librarian mysteriously be fired wouldn't really make her that much more innocent.

That's only because she was in office from 1996-2002, the 5th book wasn't published until 2003.

Wow, you even know when the books were published?

Some of the books she was reported to have banned were published after she left office.

Its the democratic party's attack on Palin. Its dirty, cheap, and false.
