Well I ran into this video of Jesse McCartney singing "Buy You a Drank"

I was wondering if there is a certain song that your favorite artist covered?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2jmQ8n4ORs
I love this too, Aly and Aj covers a "Black horse in a Cherry tree"

I always confuse those two.
But they're so different...

Oh! I've another cover to add. Corinne Bailey Rae's version of Justin Timberlakes, "SexyBack."

And Mark Ronson's "version" (haha) of Radiohead's "Just."

Well, the first cover song that comes to mind is Down in a Hole by Ryan Adams. I think it's originally by Alice in Chains.

A lot of covers I hear aren't good, but the covers listed in this thread are actually pretty good.
Haha, and woah, Jesse DOES sing that pretty darn well ;o
& That Leona Lewis cover of Run is great. :D

Tori Amos covering the song "smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana. Although I love this woman to death, she killed "hurt" by Nine Inch Nails when she covered it. She shot it, stabbed it, danced on it and shot it again.
And, I do like A Perfect Circle's cover of the song "imagine".

Haha, Moni posted that in one of her bulletins and I was like wow.. Jessie's verson > T-Pain.

And um agreed with Jerome on Off By One's cover of Torn. I also like Marie Digby's Umbrella and Nada Surf - If You Leave.

The Startling Line - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now

Yellowcard - Everywhere

And I know she's not famous, but I just love her cover.. Well, it's not really a cover since she re-wrote it and it's in English now, but whatever.

OMG I can't believe I left out Mat Weddle(of Obadiah Parker)'s version of Hey Ya! It's amazing, I used to listen to it like, every day. tongue.gif

This is the acoustic version w/ just him singing. There's a studio version w/ the whole band involved(but I prefer this one).

John Mayer's version of Free Fallin'. Just GUH, it's insanely beautiful. He's so much better live than on cd. I listen to Where The Light is like, every day.

Currently in love with Yael Naim's version of Toxic by Britney.

You don't really get enough French-Israeli singer-songwriters knocking around.
