Layout Showing Up in Firefox but not IE

Problem(s): The main problem is that the layout is only showing up in FireFox. When I attempt to look at it in IE it comes up like it can not link to where I have the files located. Also, I can not figure out how to get the layout to move up. When I put the code in the first time MySpace automatically erased some of it.

may i ask How you make your profiles and such?
like do you use photoshop for any of the coding parts?

Also it isnt working for me either in mozzilla

^though it also looks like they could be getting the image maps from maybe photoshop by doing
file > save for web > save as html and images

I know that i use to do that for my coding and it did some of the same stuff or atleast something like it

Hmm. I don't know about that. I've never used Photoshop to make my imagemaps. laugh.gif The URL looks like the source if you're looking at it in your file manager of your site which is why I said that.

thought so. I use to use the coding a lot too.

My suggestion, dont use photoshop to code your main stuff. It just never works so well, or atleast for me it didnt.
Just use it to make your DIV picture and i would suggest to use a DIV code that works for IE and mozzilla

it may take some patience, sweat and effort but its deffinatly worth it.

i know probably frusterating to hear but i used to do it the wya you did it and i just learned that the coding was just way too stubborn and whatever to even just move and position

Adobe Dreamweaver.... a program to make website, but hmm knowing how complex myspace can be it probably would not work

well if its a program to make a website, it could be meaning just website templates and not exactly myspace

but who knows
Maybe i will download or get dreamweaver to try it out to see if it could work or not.
Though like i mentioned before it might be a thing for more websites then myspace layouts

I was trying to avoid that. I hate coding. I am a designer not a programmer, but I guess I am just going to have to do it that way!

lol yeah it can be quite a pain but after you get things all figured out it goes much easier and you feel like you acomplish a lot

We take some basic web design classes, but since I am not Web Design major we only go so deep into that part. I am a Graphic Designer. I am just beginning my second year and have not taken any web design classes yet, so up until now I have been "winging" it. A lot of time though some designers will do the template and have the client higher someone else to code, a true programmer. It is expected for graphic designers to know how to code, but they are of course not "true professionals". We learn it because people expect you to know it and it does make life easier, but there are people who actually have a degree for that.

like i mentioned before go here for making your DIV, it helps out a lot.
