Wrap your hair around a dick as a replacement to a curling iron.
I heard it works wonders. ![]() |

TUNG.STOPIT.
some idiot is actually going to believe you one day. you'll kill yourself laughing so hard after that. anyways. do you know how to do a messy bun? put a little bit of mousse or gel in it (whatever you prefer, it really doesn't matter, but makes sure it doesn't leave your hair hard or something), put it in a loose messy bun, and leave it in until your hair is basically dry. you can sleep with it overnight, but it might be really uncomfortable, and your hair will get ripped out easier. if you don't have a lot of time to do it (if you have a shower in the morning), put it in a messy bun, leave it for a little bit, then blow dry it for a while. you can also take it down if it's close to dry and blow dry it. make sure your dryer is set to warm, though. warm air will help it set. you shouldn't have to put any more product in your hair. if it looks alright and you don't mind, you don't even have to brush it. you might have to use your fingers to work out a few tangles. good luck. :] |

I get my nicest curls with a straightening iron, if you have one on hand. :)

How in the world can you do that!? watch this She lists a specific iron, but I've done it with expensive and cheap straighteners all the same. It's a lot easier if there's a swivel-y spinning thing for the cord at the bottom, though. |

Hmmm... well you can use mousse. After washing your hair (or wet your hair first) run a nice amount of mousse through it, scrunching as you go along. Keep scrunching it while you blow dry it and you should have curls.
Alternatively, if you know how to braid your hair, braid it the night before (not just one big braid but several, how ever many you want), sleep on it, and then before school, take them out. You should be left with a nice crinkle, depending on what kind of hair you have. |

- Use a straightening iron, like mentioned above. Do a quick Google, or YouTube; you should find a lot of tutorials.
- If you have pretty long hair, I like to put my hair into a low bun while my hair is damp, and sleep through the night with it on. The next morning I'm left with wavy hair, then I usually just fix them a bit with a curling iron. - I've tried braiding but that TOTALLY didn't work for me, I looked like a frizz-ball. Just remember not to do braids that are too small because you might get a tighter wave; I'm not really sure what you want. And, just a general question. Does using curl-activating cream/mousse/spray on straight hair really make it curly? I don't want to waste my money to buy it and realize that it doesn't even work on straight hair. I don't know how to induce a curl using a non-physical means and it'd be nice to know how. ![]() |

^ It probably won't work on your hair. Curl-inducing stuff only enhances the hair's natural curl, so if you don't have naturally curly hair...

^ Yeah, that's what I thought, which made me confused because I read something on another forum where the girls talk about using the curl-enhancing stuff, and I'm like...wait a second. Aren't you Asian with stick-straight hair?
Maybe the stuff will help hold a curl though, say if you're going to use any of the methods listed above. |

I like the messy loose curl look. After you take a shower comb your hair then put it in a tight bun and sleep with it in for the rest of the night. In the morning take your hair down and add hairspray and you should have that wavy hair effect thats really pretty.

My hair has a natural wave to it, but to make it curly, I just put in a bunch of Herbal Essences Totally Twisted curl scrunching gel, and scrunch my hair while drying it. When it's dry (enough), I use Pantene Texture sculpting wax almost like gel and scrunch my hair with it again. Then it's all curly and I loves it. :D
Once I take a shower, I'll do this to my hair and take a picture of it for you. It turns out pretty nicely. :) |

I hate curling my hair, so what I usually do is towel dry it and then put it up in a messy bun. I don't really care how the bun looks, so I usually just use one hair tie and put it up. Then, I let it dry and take the hairtie out and if I'm worried about it keeping it's shape, I just spray on some hairspray.
There are some people who have success with braids, but they usually don't keep throughout the day. |

Okay, so I did my hair how I said above, only I sprayed it with Herbal Essences hair spray (which actually smells good)...It didn't change how it looks, but it will last longer. :)
