Whoa, I didn't know they had Mitsuwa elsewhere. My town is so Asian-dominated that I assume some places you can't find anywhere else.

I have a couple of white friends who love Asian food. I don't know about mochi, though.

Here in Tenafly, its dominated by Koreans and Jewish. laugh.gif
Though, I know a pretty good amount of Philipinos in my area and a lot of Taiwanise (am I spelling that correctly?). Not so much Japanese tho...all the Japansese I know are like me, they're only halfs... mellow.gif

i have a friend that half thai and chinese.
but, i dont know any taiwanese people.
at least not that i know of blink.gif
i went to a camp with a lot of taiwanese
kids from taiwan once. they were cool.
but there was a lot of tension between
them and the the people from here. it kinda
sucks. cause it was like were separated in a way.

Anyways, I've heard of that kind of mochi where there's nothing inside. I perfer the one with red bean since I like sweet things. _smile.gif
