Could you please clarify your question? I'm not exactly sure what "da low" is.

I think that people being on the dl is find. I happen to know a lot of people who are that way, and I have no problem with it. In today's society, gays are starting to become more accepted, but not at the fast rate that lesbians are. It is very hard for a man to come out, because they are generally thought to not do things like that. For a long time in society, it was thought to be taboo, and in some instances, it still is...but with more gay television characters, shows, etc., I think that less and less people will be on the dl.

but what about the guys dat do it with another guy [[keep in mind he has a wife]] and gets some unknown thing from him...like AIDS...you don't think it would've been better for him to have just come out...

I hate to be blunt, but that is a risk that guys who do that take. I mean I know that it is super hard for people to come out. Imagine a black guy coming out to his family as opposed to a white person. That would be hella hard to do.

I don't get the topic. How do we feel about sexual orientations? What does 'down low' have to do with being bi or straight?

Also, how do you expect us to compare 'on da low guys' with 'straight guys'? I seriously don't get it.

I think what she means is those who are still in the closet vs. those who are straight out gay/bi.

Ashleigh, it would help if you rephrased your question. It's just confusing people.

because i don't get how this is a DEBATE. are we debating which is right and which is wrong?

"how we feel" about something doesn't make this fit into debate.

or a guy to just sneak around and maybe catch something and give it to his potential wife/girlfriend...

i think that he should do whatever he wants to do. if someone doesn't wanna come out then they don't wanna come out. as far as the this topic, i don't think the issue is whether he is out or not, the issue is whether he is cheating on someone or not. do i think it's alright to cheat on people? no.

and no i still think this belongs in relationships not debate. maybe someone will come in here though and tell us why they are for cheating on people.

I'm little confused as to why this is a debate, too. I think that if he knows he's gay and decides to marry a women and raise children with her that he's not only not being honest with her, but he isn't being honest with himself.

As far as if a person wants people to know their orientation, it's up to them. I know some people who don't want people to know, and a few gay men who are out there and have pride.

I don't think it matters whether or not someone is on the dl unless they take it to the extreme ex: getting married to a women and ect then its just ridiculous, gay people want the right to get married to each other but some are marrying women and it's scary if you think about it you could be falling in love with a man who isn't even attracted to you...
