It was amazing, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.

i was in no way excited to see this movie mainly because i'm not a big fan of will smith, but i have to say this movie was good. it had its funny lines and action moments and a little something surprising. he did a good job as a super hero. definately recommend it.

A good actor can play any type of persona. Perhaps you forgot that he's an A-list actor.

A-list doesn't mean much more than most popular. Just because you're well known doesn't mean you're great. I'm not saying hes bad, but just look at some of his movies. He has carried some shitty roles in the past.

Not necessarily. A-list actors are the most bankable because their acting has gained much popularity. They take into account their acting skills as well. They're popular for a REASON.

For example, Jessica Alba's really popular, but she's doomed to be a B-list actress, despite appearing on various films. Her acting's just.. bad. Good thing she has a pretty face and an awesome personality. xmas.gif

I wanna see Wanted and this. I heard it was a good movie and Will Smith did a great job despite the fact that this people didn't want him to take the role.

I've seen Wanted and Hancock in the past week or so. I liked both of them, despite negative comments/reviews. They're action movies and the such. Plenty of people criticize because they're "stealing their style from someone else" or "that's already been done". I don't care. If the movie entertained me, it's good. Who cares if it's not an original idea, or if someone else did it already. If they can do it and still make it enjoyable and make me laugh/be interested, then cool.

Speaking of movies, I watched No Country for Old Men last night. Weird. Cool.

To be fair, there is a difference between being a A-List ACTOR, and an A-List CELEBRITY.

You can be one, the other, or both. Or neither, obviously.

I opted to read the Wiki article to know the plot instead of waiting to watch it. Sue me. Sooooo I don't like the twist. Maybe my opinion would've differed had I actually seen the execution of it, but it just seemed like a lame way to "turn the movie around".

BUT! Funny story semi-related to the movie, from a friend who works as a ticket-taker:

40-something man: "What are some good movies you guys are showing?"
Ticket-taker: "Hancock looks really good."
40-something man: "Is that sexual movie?"
Ticket-taker: "....no."
40-something man: "Do you guys have any?"
Ticket-taker: "No, I'm pretty sure we don't.
40-something man: "Oh." *walks off to buy a ticket, to God knows what movie*
