I think the circumstances surrounding her alleged rape are important to know so we can help her figure out how she can cope with it. Walking down an alley and violently being raped is different from being drunk at a party and not being able to say no.

And that's where the term "Gray Rape" comes in to play.

A girl might say "no", but does she really mean it? So the guy goes on ahead and have sex with her, while in her mind, she's half saying no she doesn't want it, and the other half, she wants it. We learned about this two weeks ago in Womans Studies class. It's a whole big confusing issue.

Another example would be if the girl were drunk, and had sex with some dude, and wakes up the next morning not remembering what happen, but wakes up naked in bed. She knows she had sex, and claims she got rape. But was she really rape? She was drunk, so she doesn't remember, if she gave consent or not. She tells her friends about her being rape, and her friends are like. "No you did not. Check out these pictures from last night, I mean it sure looks like you wanted it." The girl is confused and knows she did not want to have sex, but she was drunk. There lies the "gray" area of the term gray rape.

Best thing is tell someone..it's hard. You gotta do it though.. because would you want someone to go through the same thing you went through? He's still out there dont you want him locked up? Things will get better.. speaking from experience.

Lets face it, some of you are overreacting. She posted that she was raped not through PMs but in a public forum. She basically gave access for people to ask questions. On top of this she asked how to get through this. When you only know a limited amount of information then the advice you can give will also be limited. Dr. Phil is a psychologist for example, does he just give advice or does he try to find out as much information as possible before preceding?

I can't say anything because I don't know what happened. Its like debating on an issue you have no knowledge about.

Honestly going to the forums is not the right place to ask for help. You need to see someone in person and ask for help because this is serious.

Talk to a CHILDHOOD friend about this. Talk to him or her and Let it all out. Then move on with your life, don't let this event take over your mind.

I hope and pray that you didn't meet some random dude that you liked took him to a hotel and as soon as you get to the room 5 other dudes jump out and handle their business.

I agree with Elba we don't even know the circumstances that took place with the alleged rape. And that post makes me question the integrity of this incident. You leave me no choice but to show skepticism.

Anyway, Alyssa I think you've done all you can do right now, and you just need to go talk to someone about it what happened to get it off your chest. And when you make topics like these, or any of your other questions, try thinking of how people are going to take them around here. If you don't want the immature comments maybe its best to just try asking the question differently.

Geez there are so many a-holes on this site it doesn't make any sense...either way regardless of your past posts (I could care less nor did I go looking for them & as you can see some of these losers on here thrive on drama so they luv to start unnecessary crap with people), the best advice I can give you is to talk to someone you trust...Don't disclose your business on the internet, people are already judging you & they don't even know your story or what you might have gone through...whatever you do, talk to someone you trust & someone mature enough for whatever you need to disclose to them...good luck with coping with your unfortunate situation...

I hope you can recoop from the difficult situation, but I personally dont think coming to the forums to talk about such a personal issue is the right thing to do, people are difficult on the forums and it is hard to believe sometimes that some people can come out so easily about themselves being raped, cleary reading your last posts, it shows that your going through a personal crisis, what I would suggest is you see a counsellor or someone whom you trust because like I said this is a forum and people are going to sympathize for you or they are just going to bash you out either way you cant trust anyone here, unless you know then personally, if you need more help, you could personally pm me but i dont think that will help by alot, just take some time to think about it because theres 2 different types of rape, a bad decision or being a victim and seeing your posts, Im guessing you made a bad mistake, so just take some time to yourself and just talk it out with the people you trust, but not the community :]

report the mother fcker to the police. end of story. and to cope with it? you know what, if you could not do anything to have prevented it, you have to live with it but learn to move on from it. don't forget about it because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. learn from this experience and although you may seem weak about it now, this will make you a stronger person and you will definitely be careful with who you trust and all that.
