^ I'm guessing you use firefox?

anyways. the reason i made this thread is because you are wrong. Pandora has rejected... 2? of my cb layouts. I actually want one to be accepted, and the coding took me ages to figure out.

yeah, I got her feedback. She said the colors were too bright. and she PERSONALLY didn't like it, Which baffled me because I always thought the design staff weren't supposed to go on what THEY personally liked, but what others would like. I guess I was lied to cry.gif

I can understand why she said the images were too bright, but here's me being honest:

I don't like the setup. I'm using AOL and in both divs there are horizontal scrollbars. The one on the right has a horizontal scrollbar lower than the one on the left (mainly the div where you have your comment box, there's two scrollbars). I also think that you should put the image outside of the div on the left. Like, have the image on the top half and make the div half that size and put it below it.

I know that sounded kinda harsh, but did it help?

^ nah not harsh, but not too terribly helpful :-\ I can go fix the scrollbars, but I don't know what you're talking about moving it half-size to the left?

Oh, I meant that right now you have one(?) div on the left side of the layout, and your layout image is in that div. I was just suggesting that you take the image out of the div with the content and let it be independent and put the div with the content below it.

I don't like the setup. It's busy and the divs are really annoying. All you really did was stamp an image in the bottom left corner that doesn't even look like any work was put into it. It's not exceptionally creative or attractive, either (especially if you view it on firefox).

I'm not sure if this would work, but MAYBE if the navigation wasn't in the div and was static above the right div, it MIGHT work. I don't think it'll work, but it'll seem a little neater than what you have going on right now.

to tell the truth, the beach picture reminds me of a beach and that background reminds me of techno, I dont think those two mix very well, also the colors seem a little mismatched, also there isnt a set navi bar, its just part of the content portion , but since the CB portion is still new it might get accepted

oo and also why do I need to download a plugin to view ur profile ?

I really dislike that the content is so small while the links/promotion for yourself has a huge DIV. The colors don't work. Just because it's in the background, doesn't mean it will work in the overall layout.

The font things are annoying too. Must you neon color and bold/italic/underline random words just for emphasize?

Adjust the sizes so it's more balanced. The difference in sizes makes the layout look very amateur. It would help if you could get the scrollbars to disappear. For divs that smaller, it's very ugly to see the bulky scrollbar taking up room.

is it just me, or is the placement really weird. is it supposed to just be on the top left corner and take up about 1/4 of the entire page?

Um, I highly doubt any member of the staff, let alone myself would actually say they "personally" did not like something in a rejection note. If you are going to tell people what I said in my note, you may as well paste it verbatim - since that's what you're making it seem like you're doing in the first place.

I personally think you're a little too sensitive.

I wouldn't have accepted the cb Layout your currently using, why? Well first off I think it needs to be completely centered. Even if I'm using firefox there is always a way to get a layout to look the same in every browser. The colors don't look good with each other. I think you should take a class on color and find out what colors really look appealing to each other. Maybe even find a website that has color palettes or something. Also I think it would have been better, if you make a header image and put it on top instead of putting it under the about me box I'm assuming. I think the way you position everything is just awkward as well.

the light red doesnt compliment that color scheme, especially against the gray. that white in the scheme is meant to be the primary color for the background, while the other colors should go on top of it.
