My mom still comes home on occasion with shit she bought for me at Talbots (or wherever she f**kin shops) and tries to make me try on these ugly ass dresses and shit.

As soon as she pulls it out of the bag, I start yelling "THAT'S SO UGLY, STOP SHOPPING FOR ME - GIVE IT TO ONE OF MY COUSINS OR SOMETHING."

Cmon mom, I'm 21 yrs old now, give it a rest.

Does your mom still try to pull that on you?

my mom buys me stuff on ocassion, usually it's things i'd never wear - not because they're ugly but because i dress a little more conservative than she wishes i'd be. then again sometimes she buys some really cute things. i know she means well, but sometimes it does annoy me other times i love her more for it.

My mom still buys me clothes from time to time. I'll wear them once like around the house just so she's happy, then never wear them again. Then again, sometimes she buys something that I actually like, and I treasure it. :) She also buys me lotion, makeup, pads, among other things that I'm too lazy to pick up myself, so I figured allowing her to shop for my clothes once in a while was worth it. rolleyes.gif

My mom stopped buying stuff for me as soon as I hit 15 years old. Then she told me to get a job.

Very occasionally, usually only at Christmas/Birthday etc, but only if she knows she'll be able to return it easily if I don't like it... She actually has pretty good taste though, so it works out ok.

No my mom doesn't because she knows I have a job now (employed) and I am able to afford for clothes on my own. She doesn't need to baby me and she knows I have my own fashion sense. Plus, since I'm kind of petite, I am picky about what I wear.

No, unless it's a certain occasion (birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, etc).

My mom shopped for me up until I got a job. Now that I am out of work, she brings me food, and these fresh ice pops from whole foods that I adore!

Dude my mom still shops for my brother, who is married, has a kid, and lives in Texas. I don't know when she plans on giving him any of this stuff, but she has a whole box of it.

That's kind of mean. Your mom took time out of her day and thought about you, you can at least be appreciative. I mean, you still live with her, don't you? Maybe if you move out and get a real job, she'll finally understand that you can buy your own clothes. Even then, as your mother, she'll still want to buy you shit.

You should seriously say "thank you" to your mother one of these days instead of constantly bitching about her.

No, but she does buy me a shirt every now and then when she goes out shopping. She has pretty good taste and knows what I like, so it's rarely anything I wouldn't wear.

My mom doesn't go shopping without me at all. She can only buy clothes for me if I tell her I like it or we both come to an agreement that it looks nice. I pretty much help her with everything at the mall from clothes to cosmetics and even lotion. The only things she doesn't buy for me without me there are food and essentials that are always the same.

Sometimes but she knows the kinds of stuff I wear so it's pretty cool. If i don't like it i tell her and she returns it. She rather have her money back than see me wear it by force/ in the closet sitting.

Also she works right by the mall so sometimes she stops by. Also her work has an adidas shop and every few months it gets sample sales.. Its like heaven hahahaa.

man you guys parents must have like bad taste. I know my mom sometimes has really bad taste for herself but when she shops for me she know's i'm picky.
