You know, my first reaction was going to be "so what, to you, sounds like emo/homo?" Then I thought, ya know, he's just going to say something thing like "trip hop sounds like that". Heh

I haven't listened to all of it... but I've listened to a few artists that a neighbor tried to get me into. I just don't really feel it, not my type of genre.

Well, trip-hop music is pretty broad. You have stuff that sounds more hip-hop (like DJ Shadow, Esthero), funk (Roisin Murphy), jazz-influenced (like Bitter:Sweet, Portishead), dark and moody (like Massive Attack, Portishead), ethnic (like Thievery Corp), electronic/pop (like Goldfrapp, Bjork, Sneaker Pimps), rock (Garbage, Massive Attack, Gorillaz).

Triphop music actually evolved from hip hop music and originated in Bristol, England.

All I've heard is Machine Gun... and I think it's incredible. I can't wait for this new album to drop.

Well I'm not sayin that emos and homosexuals listen to it. It's when I listen to it... I just automatically think of Emotional people and homosexuals laugh.gif
cry.gif I hope that was some sick joke.

Dr. Octagon, word up.

I gotta get more DJ Krush, and I haven't really listened to enough DJ Shadow.

Some turntablism music just happens to fall under the genre of Trip-Hop. I'm pretty sure some D-Styles and Qbert would count (that being said, trip-hoppers are not all emo/homo people).

I still can't believe you popped a genre stereotype on this, Tama.
/joking, kinda

OMG, the new Portishead album is orgasmic. It's not quite trip-hop but I'm thoroughly pleased with it. Portishead has done it again!!!
