Because not all spam has a point worthy of its own topic. I don't need you to tell me how to mod, Steven. You're starting to look like ye ole Thomas. Not a good look.

I'll drop it and pick it up when I see fit :) It was a good suggestion, as a lot of spam is side tracked conversation that would be fine in a thread of it's own.
Anyways, not to spam again, would y'all say that there are absolutely no soldiers in Japan? |

They also have a Communications brigade somewhere in the boonies. There aren't many of them. |

But would it be safe to say that there are soldiers in Japan (which I think is considered overseas? correct me if I'm wrong)?

Yes, but what the f**k does that have to do with Brandon? His job doesn't require him to know wtf soldiers are up to.

QUOTE Keep in mind that I'm part of a unit (and work in the 3d MLG Chief of Staff's office) that oversees the Pacific Theater of operations for Marine Corps and Naval personnel. No where does that say "Army." You lose. |

No where does that say "Army." You lose. Not necessarily. One would think that being in the Navy would give you and understanding of the other four branches, or at least know some of the generalities that apply to all 4 branches. Not to say I'm taking his side or anything, just that statement was full of fail. Brandon doesn't know anything about overseas soldiers. No I'm just kidding he's stationed in Japan. Soldiers train up at White Beach and Torii Station here on Okinawa. They also have a Communications brigade somewhere in the boonies. There aren't many of them. So when I said I'm kidding, and he said that about the soldiers at White Beach, could that have possibly validated my previous statement? Just sayin. |

Just sayin. I never said there weren't Soldiers here, I just said I didn't know anything about 'em. As a serviceman stationed here, we all know where the bases are, just in case. That doesn't mean I go there and kick it with some guy they call Sarge. ![]() |

Saying you don't know anything is an absolute. You apparently know something, as you told us what you knew :D

BEGIN: RELATIVE_TRUTH
From now on, I'll be clear on the statements I make. Just so you know, for sure, that it is relative or absolute. END: RELATIVE_TRUTH |

ok we have a very specific naming convention. it's Begin: relativeTruth, and End: relativeTruth.
Then any other identifiers are used like so: relativeTruth_Ftw |

I had no clue what Brandon was saying, what with the whole caps beginning and ending before and after his statement. I mean, wtf is that shit? |

Not to start a debate... but this is from a Marine himself:
http://www.angelfire.com/ca/dickg/soldier.html The term Soldier can be used as a general term to identify any serviceman or woman. =\ Keep riding. ![]() Back on topic, Marines were once regarded as the 'Soldiers of the Sea.' That was back in the olden days, though. Times change. Actually not really... it never has changed. It's the sense of pride in which a serviceman or woman woul dmuch rather be addressed to their branch. That's all. |

Don't post at the same time as me, sea-dog! Shit. It still stands. Many Marines find it offensive to be called the 's' word. |
